    Default 4770 With 4670 1GB

    Hello folks.
Sad news, my psu can't take the pressure of my 4770. I'm getting Blue Screen Of Death's quite often, and my pc is turning off and sometimes restarting. I reinstalled windows several times. But nothing happens.
And, I can't afford to buy a PSU at the moment. Or, I can exchange a my PSU and additional 1000 taka(that I have) with a 450W any branded PSU. But, i guess that won't happen since any1 won't do that.
    So, I want to exchange my 4770 Sapphre 512MB GDDR5, 128-Bit with a 4670 1 GB.

    Right now, I'm crying....

Sell ur PSU to any shop and then buy the Delux 400w psu that costs 1400tk. I think u will get at least 300tk for ur psu if it is ok. So better to stay with 4770.

    For secondary use: E2160 OC @2.2Ghz| Gigabyte 945GCMX| 1.5GB DDR2| Thermaltake 400w| Intel GMA 950

The delux PSU he got is a fake one. And he posted about his fake PSU earlier. The one that I am talking about is the real one.

    Default Re: 4770 With 4670 1GB

it's not because of ur 4770...it is beacause of ur CPU>>>P4 HT...that is a power whore
or mayb there is something else

u see the 4770 takes only 80W...which the pci-e slot provides most of it that is 75W...only rest 5W is taken from the pci-e power connector...even if u change to a 4670...the power difference will be only 5W

another thing...try clocking down ur VRAM...GDDR5 uses a lot of power when in idle mode since powerplay doesnt affect it that much...manually turn it down...& see what happens

btw post BSOD info & codes...that usually dictates the problem

Its better to sell of ur fake delux PSU bcz it willnt supply power more than 200-250w. So switching to C2D will not be a good choice as there it can create some unstability. Its better u buy a original delux psu or a branded one for ur computer. And then u can switch to C2D. Recently Abir bhai bought a delux PSU and he is running fine his 4770 with his C2D e4500. U can ask him for suggestion about buying delux PSU.

@ Cybervirus u r using a low power processor. It consumes less power than C2D. And 4770 doesn't consume power equal as 8400gs. Here is the power consumption chart.

Bro I think your processor is creating all the probs. My PC containing,

    C2D [email protected] (65nm)
    Intel G31PR
    2*1GB [email protected]
    GeForce 8600GT (OC Edition)
320GB SATA HDD (Secondary HDDs often used)
    DVD RW Drive,
    3 case fans

I'm running this config for more then three years with the generic psu that came with the casing. So as Dipanzan said I don't think you'll be much benefited by changing your card. I recommend you down clock your CPU and GPU, unplug all unnecessary peripherals (secondary HDDs, ROMs, PCI cards etc) and gather some money. First buy a good PSU (you'll need that in future, right?) then upgrade your peripherals one by one. It'll be easier for your wallet too.
You never fail until you give up...

that is the total system power consumption...what is the test bed used here???
system to system power consumption differs a lot...since PSU to PSU can have voltage difference & tolerance lvls

    I'm getting a PSU from @marex within 2-3Days.
Imtiaz, your chart doesn't include 3870X2
One of my friend has it, he has C2Q Q6600, 4GB 800 Ram. forgot the mobo. And his PSU is Thermaltake 600W.
    Is his Power Supply enough?

    Default Re: 4770 With 4670 1GB

Bhai asus er 500 watt ta kinar cheshta koren.oita 4600 taka. Proyojone 4770 khuila rakhen tobuo er shtathe 4670 change koiren na. Karon 4770=2x4670.

So think about it. Dont sell it and save up for a psu or look for a second hand tr2 or lightpower 400w. Which will be enough for your system.
