    Price is reduced heavily. But there is a shortage of 4850 in UCC. So they are charging high for that card.

    These are damn prices. UCC now back in the game. Now we want products of EVGA, BFG, thermalright, Coolermaster from UCC. BTW the price of 4770 seems gone up!!!! 4850 even less than it!!!!!

    hey guys... I am going to buy one of these cards on 18th September-
    1. XFX HD4980 1GB xxx edition (900Mhz) = 20,500
    OR
    2. XFX GTX-275 896mb (633Mhz) = 22,500

    but m confused, pls suggest me which one should I pick?

    my config will be like this -

    but m confused, pls suggest me which one should I pick?

    my config will be like this -
    Processor: C2Q Q9550 (2.8Ghz)
    MOBO: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R
    RAM: Transcend 4GB (800Mhz) dual channel
    HDD: 500GB wd
    Powersupply: 750watt Corsair
    Casing: not yet been decided(ELEMENT G thakle nogod e nibo)
    Monitor: Samsung 943NWX (19" / 1440resu)

    between these two, I would go for the radeon 4890 1gb ddr5 xxx. GeForce GTX275 and Radeon HD 4890 are the same in class. but this 4890 costs 2000/- less and it's a overclocked card.

    u can also consider 4850X2 2GB DDR3 @ 22,000/- though it's a dual-gpu card, it performs even better than GeForce GTX285. here is the bit-tech.net review -

    Actually I suggest the GTX275. Since the money isn't the issue for you, you should consider other factors like nVidia's sponsored games. 4890 is no doubt a great card, I use one myself, but I still suggest the GTX275.

    If you feel that you can use the 2000 saving to upgrade another component then go for 4890.
