slim is newer and fat is older. slim is better. but some of the old fat models support ps2 games.
i dunno much about ntsc and pal. ps3 game pirate kore khelar jonno ps3 jailbreak kora lage. but ps3 firmware needs to be 3.55 or below to jailbreak it. or else you have to buy original games. pirate game disc hobena karon most of the ps3 games are over 10gb which requires blueray for single disc(hence why some games in xbox360 are multi disc if i am not wrong) . so you have to take them in your hdd. you can get them on almost any known ps3 game store(mostly in bashundhara city).

you gotta w8 for better replies

If you play through HDMI, PAL and NTSC does not matter. Most TVs today support both video modes I think. The most I played in mine was almost 10 hours non stop. All PS3 games come in Blu Ray discs. You cannot write to blank Blu Rays afaik. All games must be copied to the internal HDD over LAN or external HDD in a jailbroken PS3. You can change the internal HDD of the PS3. I think PS3 can support at upto 2TB HDD.

Hey! First off, Pal and NTSC really don't matter since you'll probably be using HDMI output with your TV/monitor etc. Usually PS3 exclusives are around 30Gb and up (Uncharted trilogy, God of War 3/Ascension etc). Triple A titles (Hitman Abs./ AC3/ Crysis 3 etc) are around 10-20 gb. The rest are below. The price for copied games usually vary based on their size. You can check bikroy.com for people supplying ps3 copy games (just search ps3 games). Usually they're around 100-300 tk. You can also get them from GamesZone on Bashundhara or some other shop, but they take a bit more. You have to copy the games in an external HDD then copy it to PS3 (yes, ps3's have usb ports).
Second, all fat/phat versions of PS3 are hackable, and the 60gb first gen PS3's are backwards compatible (can play ps2 games). Also, if you're going to buy a new ps3, chances are its not hackable. Ask the shopkeeper about the system firmware of the PS3. If its above 3.55 then its unhackable. However, if its above 3.55, then you can downgrade that firmware to 3.55 and hack it then. But then you have to have a first/second gen PS3. Heres a list:
1st gen (phat): Cech 1000 series (hackable)
2nd gen (slim): Cech 2000 series (some are hackable, the earlier ones that is)
And all PS3's from cech 3000+ (the existing slim editions and the super slim editions) are completely unhackable and is not going to be hacked since PS4 is around the corner!
I suggest you either get a x360, which is hackable and gmes cost around 200tk, or wait for the XB1 or PS4. Hope this helps, and let me know if I can help any further =).

Cech XXXX is the model make. It doesn't really mean anything, just tells you which gen of the system it has. Phat/ Fat ps3 is the first one. Like xbox 360 is the first gen xbox 360, ps3 fat is the first gen ps3, i.e- its the ps3 that was launched at first, and is hackable, means you can play copied games. Cech model is usually at the back of the ps3 and is also mentioned at the back. You can just ask the shopkeeper for the firmware and cech no. Well, my ps3 cost me around 28000, and i have around 25 original games. Lets say each of those games cost 4000 (most of them are 5000+ tk, but i'm just taking the minimum factor). So, 28000 + (4000x25) = 128'000 tk. Now if it was an xbox 360, and lets say i had 100 games, each priced 200 then, 35000 + (100x200) = 55'000. Nearly half the total insurance. And if you buy a new ps3, you're gonna have to buy original games, which are very expensive. I don't think the ps3 is going to be hacked. I suggest you get the 360 because it can be hacked/modded and the games are cheap. The bad side is that no multiplayer, and the dvd rom might stop working after a while! And if you want a ps3 that can play copied games, you'll have to get a second hand one, or buy a modded ps3 which is around 45000 tk.

Yeah thats true, non-exclusive (or as they called, "multi-platform games") do often look better on PC because PC has more power to offer. Most old multi plat titles in fact look etter on x360, though the new games being released look better on PS3 as it has more raw horsepower. Anyway, ps3 exclusives look stunning, particularly these ones: Heavy Rain, Beyond- Two Souls, God of War 3, God Of War Ascension, Uncharted 1/2/3, And The Last of Us. If you see the gameplays on youtube, you can pretty much tell that these are the best graphics this gen has to offer. Check out the screenshots of God Of War Ascension, it'll blow your mind . And the latest games, well they'll look MUCH better on PC than console, because PS3 and X360 are almost at their end! And console games look similar becuase they have similar computing power, so their limits of graphical output are pretty much the same!

No. But you can copy one game, finish it, then delete and then load another one. You can't play games off the ext. hdd. And the ps3 drives are upgradeable. That is, you can replace it for a 500GB internal drive. But I've neer done it, so I can't say if its safe or not, or if the 60gb Cech 100x series even support that. =).

Well most of your answers would've been answered already. But I'll answer them again for your understanding

1- Difference between the FAT and SLIM model?

Well the PS3 FAT is the original console that was released in 2007. The PS3 SLIM was released in 2009. The SLIM is smaller, lighter, and more energy efficient than the FAT model. It also does not suffer from hardware issues like the FAT did. If you buy one, I suggest you go for the slim. A modded slim should cost around 20000-27000 taka. Depends on HDD size. You can get a modded FAT for less than 20000 taka. But I don't suggest buying the FAT.

2- Difference between NTSC and PAL?

NTSC and PAL are both video formats used in different parts of the world. Bangladesh uses PAL. You don't have to worry about it if you are using HDMI to connect the PS3 to your TV.

3- How long can you play it for?

Well technically, if it is well ventilated, as long as you like. There SHOULD be no damage.

4- What firmware to play pirated games?

You have to have 3.55. Then you can update you PS3 to higher custom firmware versions.

    5- Can you find pirated PS3 DVD's?

No. In fact, the PS3 does not use DVD's. It uses Blu-ray discs.

6- Do you have to play pirated games on a HDD?

Yes you do. You can use an external HDD or use the PS3's internal HDD. It doesn't matter.

7- Where to get pirated games?

You can get pirated games from many shops where PS3's, games and other accessories are sold. They should cost around 50-100 taka per game depending on the shop. I recommend Gamer's Paradise. The owner's name is Shah Fuad Hossain. He's good man. His shop's address is as follows. Shop # 410 (3rd Floor) Twin Towers Concord Shopping Complex Santinagor, Dhaka-1217

8- Where to find a HDD?
If you want a external HDD, go to any computer shop. A 500GB external HDD should cost around 6000-7000 taka.

9- How much HDD space do I need?
If you get a PS3 Slim 160GB, it's sufficient if you are a casual gamer. You don't need an external HDD.

10- How much space does each game take?
Depends on the game. I'll give you a rough estimate. Most games range from 6-15 GB. Newer games can exceed 30GB. That excludes data that needs to be installed.

I hope that helps. Good luck on your new purchase and excuse any typo's I may have made
