You didn't read it properly. Lara Croft Reflections was trademarked on March 21st, 2013.
    http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/21...t-reflections/

Its probably the comic book releasing on February 2014. Or it could be a spin-off game name like Guardian of Light. A TR game will definitely come with a Tomb Raider in the title.

    Anyway,

Next-Gen Tomb Raider Reveal Likely Happening at VGX

"Itís so hard to keep a secret these days."

Earlier this week, an Amazon Italy listing for a PS4 version of Tomb Raider appeared, and appeared to be legitimate. Now publisher Square Enix is hinting that could be the case.

A Square Enix rep told IGN, "Itís so hard to keep a secret these days! We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we donít have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December."

VGX takes place December 7. IGN will have coverage of all the announcements -- Tomb Raider and otherwise -- closer to that date.

Tomb Raider 2 to be more like Skyrim

No, you won’t be screaming at dragons, and it’s unlikely that you’ll have much in the way of open world choices, but Scot Amos, during a Steam at Twitch, says he’s excited to start working towards a Tomb Raider game with the scope of Skyrim.

I think that Skyrim’s a good analogy. If you see it, you can get to it and go out there, and that to us was what the promise of this is. Now that we’ve seen what we can do [with] Definitive Edition, it starts opening up our eyes of how much further can we push ourselves. What [are] our next steps towards let’s get out to that mountain now, how do we get out there, how much bigger can those spaces be, and that’s for the future.

    Open world TR
they are talking too much. already TR was a disappointment regarding to the previous announcement (no hunting, gathering for survivability). it was a good game though. but when you say "scope of skyrim" then you should be cautious. if skyrim has a openness score of 100, TR has 2.

Tomb Raider is an action-adventure, not an RPG. There's no meaning of miles and miles of empty spaces. One of the best thing of Tomb Raider series is platforming and accessibility. In Tomb Raider, you can almost jump onto everything and climb anything.

Tomb Raider 2013 has enough open ended world setting. The Beach or the Shantytown was big enough with plenty of platforming. I don't think hubs is necessary to be bigger than these. Arkham City or Origins has huge open hubs. But they were very boring.

Tomb Raider 2013's early concept was also shown last year and there were revealed that the game was originally planned for huge open environment with Horse riding and gigantic giants to engage with. Here's some of those concept arts if you guys missed:

Tomb Raider worlds don't have to be like Assassin's Creed worlds. CrystalD doesn't have 1000 employees unlike UBISOFT.

And Tomb Raider was always Action-Adventure game. Survival elements and survivability should never be the first case for the game. Even Far Cry 3 didn't have it.

And don't trust my Facebook friend, Scot Amos. And its his birthday today.

you can think so. but that "miles after miles empty" space of skyrim has made the game enjoyable even after 2 years of release. yes TR is not RPG, so it should stay away from being it. CD shouldnt promise anything that they cant keep. TR reboot is nothing special that can keep people engaged in it. it just saved TR from its demise. as a hardcore fan you might disagree with this but that's just my opinion. i want CD to show something before telling that "we are making TR with a scope of skyrim".

Its definitely CD (in particular Scot Amos)'s fault that they (he) brought this comparison. People played Skyrim not for miles after miles empty spaces, but for interacting with tons of NPC and because its a RPG game.

As I said before, one of the core feature of Tomb Raider series is its platforming. Skyrim doesn't have enough platforming, keep that in mind. A Tomb Raider with gigantic world and without platforming is not a Tomb Raider.

And despite some faults, Tomb Raider's Multiplayer was so addictive, specially two of the new game modes it has. That's why I keep playing this game at least 2 hours each day making it 410 hours of total Tomb Raider I played so far.

Try to figure out the fact before debating something. I play 90 minutes every day and so far played 410 hours. There are plenty of players who played 1000+ hours and some players who played Tomb Raider over 2000 hours on Steam alone. :/

i am not debating. i just pointed out that "dont hype the game, if it is good then people will praise it automatically" there is no point of "hum han korenga tan karenga".

and if someone plays 2000 hours of TR, then he must be die hard fan like you. i can see you are only player in BD who plays that game that much. if someday a ranking system goes on then you can represent bangladesh. btw can you give me link of the player who played 2000 hours? just want to know him.

Tomb Raider was really good game. If its not, then NeoGAF members wouldn't praise the game while they disliked the game before launch.
