    First and last ? Huh...

Well there's no external way to determine faulty or working AFAIK. That's why warranty service is present. Always take an adult with you when claiming post-purchase warranty. Lastly before buying take the divine abba's name

How did u find that the friends card D class.
Like sapphire write class over the PCB?
Recently my cousin bought a sapphire 7790hd from ucc,
class B written on the PCB.

I think gigabyte is a good choice but from my experience,
bought gigabyte 5770HD batman, asus 6850HD direct cu, saw my cousins 7790hd sapphire dual x.
Asus PCB and quality seems best. Sapphire 2nd.
But, all perform as they should.

That's prolly the PCB nomenclature. There was heated argument sometimes back. Just see if a Q.C. passed or Q.C. qualified sticker's on. Having it means you don't have to worry about anything.

I have a Sapphire 7870 GHz Ed in my rig. bought from ucc. Its going strong and i have had no problems so far. My brother has a Gigabyte Windforce 7950 in his rig and it has been working well without any problem. I think it depends on ur luck. U might receive a faulty card, that's where warranty is handy. It's like winning a lottery
