    Exclamation Recover Internal HDD Data

Samsung 250GB HDD stopped working all of a sudden. After restarting PC it can not be detected in BIOS anymore. Can anyone help me recovering the data?
I went to a shop and they said the minimum charge would be 15,000/- taka

Ya, I experienced the same thing a few years back and was given the same response. But fortunately my HDD problem was related to the circuit board and I got the board replaced for 1200tk and got all the data back . So, see if the problem is in the board or internal components. If it is the board, then just replace the board.

From where did you replace the board?

elephant road, opposite of multiplan center. There are lots of shops that sell old HDDs and ckt boards. but the board has to match with your HDD's board. Just go there and look small shops that repair old computers. I got mine from Home Computer or Computing, don't remember exact name. The shop owner's name is Rony. The asking price for my HDD's board was 1500tk but had to haggle to get it to 1200tk.

Hard drive can not be detected by BIOS. That's the main problem. But the circuitboard seems ok, its not burnt. It gets power, tries to start up but seems the cylinder is down, fails to start up hence bios can't detect it.
