Thread: Which Brand do you prefer the most in case of a Desktop DDR3 RAM?

Post Which Brand do you prefer the most in case of a Desktop DDR3 RAM?

    Hello everyone !

I am building a new desktop computer, which include a Core i3 3220 Processor, B75D3H Gigabyte Mobo, 1 TB WD 7200 RPM HDD, Thermaltake 450 WW and others. Anyway, i would like everyone's opinion on which 4GB DDR3 1600 Mhz would be the best, assessed upon durability, performance, and reliability regarding long hours of usage or sth. (since i keep my PC on 24x7, and last time my RAM got burnt and i lost both of my 4GB Dynet 1333Mhz Units) ..

    So which brand's 1600Mhz 4GB DDR3 would u prefer?
    Corsair ?
    Transcend ?
    Twinmos ?

Then corsair maybe. I'm using transcend RAM. I keep my pc turned on for days even for weeks. It's been about 1.5+ years no problem at all.

Transcend provides Lifetime wrranty. Normal 1600 mhz 4gb ram.. i also found, there is something called aXe Transcend RAM? Is that better than the Normal trnscd 1600 mhz 4gb ram ? Any idea?

#also, u keep ur PC on for 24 hours for days, or weeks, too right? And u faced no RAM heating problem, or anything till now? Bro?

    Waiting for your answer, bro

yes dual channel means using two modules instead of one to get higher bandwidth. I'm using two 4GB sticks. make sure you install them properly. (match colors that should be ok)

yes i guess AXE RAM comes with heatsink so they should be better.
& yes like i said i keep my pc on for weeks. Programming Rendering Online Gaming Video editing i mainly do this stuffz & still vnt faced ny RAM issue so far.

yes, you got that right, and @redwan hasan bro already confirmed that....so i am again telling, dual channel means using 2 sticks of exactly same ram to get better performance....
and, dont think that 4 sticks will make a quad channel, because, though there are 4 slots, 2 slots is for one and the other two is for the other channel.....all the regular and and high end(except some) supports dual channel memory only.....

i would prefer corsair, though i have been using transcend rams for years they are giving me very good service, my first corsair product was the psu tx 850 v2 which is really a top notch product and i never regretted my decision to bring one from abroad, corsair product will never let u down unless they are doa or faulty.

but no offense rams don't play major roles in video games unlike gfx cards or cpus.

In my case corsair, transcend and twinmos all of 3 just works great and as you are going to buy b75 board so there is no need of buying corsair rams if the price has any huge difference with twinmos or transcend but twinmos has better cl timing then transcend so get the twinmos ,

    To Giant bro,
I am maintaining two posts, Sorry Giant bro, i am a newbie here, and i dont know how to properly maintain posts or create posts and stuff..

I cant afford more than 4gb RAM at any cost ! So, should i go for 2gb 1333mhz * 2 sticks?? Because many brothers are saying dual channel is more bandwith? (more than one 4gb too?, i dont know)

My options at this moment are >
    1) either two sticks of 2gb 1333mhz
    or
    2) 1 stick of any 4gb 1600mhz

ALSO, CORSAIR has increased to 3800, OMG i cant afford even more now ! God ! Transcend life time wrnty .. seems to be better than corsair, to me now Atleast price toh less ...

@SmokeHouse ...so take Twinmos Value Ram 1333mhz (2+2=4gb).....
then ask other BG members how to use the XMP memory profile through bios on B75-D3H board....this will make the rams work @1600mhz

@ Giant, Bro.. I am guessing "using XMP memory profiel thru bios on b75d3h" is a means of "overclocking" ? if it is overclocking, i wouldnt wnna burn up my ram so heat-cooling wise who is better? twin mos or transcend 1333mhz(2+2=4gb) kinbo?

    I hope to buy tomorrow..

overclocking ram is not a good idea...and u wont see any major difference between 1600 and 1333mhz...beside if u oc ,ur warranty will be cut..

Thanks to everyone who is posting and trying to help me.

I am a newbie and i have no idea how to post, create threads and stuff.. or how to reply to "one message" at a time, ... Sorry in advance for any wrongdoing

i wanted to tell you that b75 boards are not that much of capable of overclocking the ram (not sure and never tried to overclock rams with b75) and corsar rams specially vengeance rams are very good overclocker but running them on stock will be as same as buying the twinmos rams so if you are not intending to overclock the rams then stick with twinmos

. . . . . you know. The usual
