Default Suggest 1TB/2TB HDD & Wifi router according to price-performance ratio

Hello guys. I've been using a total of 3 storage drives with my pc, 2 internals & an external usb one. All are 500gb units. But now I feel like getting a bigger storage unit. So my plan is to get a 1tb or 2tb HDD for storage functions(will decide upon the budget I have after EID). So please suggest me the HDDs I should be looking for including their price & availability.
    Criterias-
    1. It will be a storage drive with good price-performance ratio
    2. Can be bought locally(DHK)
    3. Warranty- The more the merrier
    4. 2nd hand options can be considered if offer seems good

One more thing I am looking for is a Wifi router. I currently am using the cheapest one available in BD, the TP-Link WR720N which has several issues like weak network, intermittent disconnections. I am looking for an upgrade, But I don't have much knowledge on these except the port forwarding & mac binding stuffs. I will also have the option of bringing them from USA so you can suggest outside the local stocks too, but do keep in mind the price.
    Criterias-
    1. Suitable for home use with multiple(5-6) devices concurrently
    2. Covers an area of about 2000sq.ft.
    3. provides good network(full connection on my phone when using 1-2 rooms away)
    4. Price performance ratio
    5. System to limit minimum & maximum bandwidth to a specific device
    6. Easy to set up
    7. Trouble free usage.

    Thanks

I'm not really big on the consumer wifi router market,

If you like state of the art, vanity systems, try http://www.ubnt.com/unifi

It's sort of enterprise, but kicks ¤¤¤. Probably not the simplest to set up though.

On the pure consumer class, you can try the RTN66 and it's U variant from Asus, also a great router.

@Codex The unifi AP looks pretty slick & is good for my price range. But can I connect it to my pc via lan or am I gonna require an wifi receiver adapter for that?

& the Asus RTN66 is too high for my budget. Any suggestions at around 60-70$?

Also, how good will be this one?

About HDD. Price of 2tb hdd is around 8k now. get a wd green . should be good. Dont know about warranty though. Should be 3 yrs.

The asus ones are really good. A little bit pricey though. I recommend these.

I am using a Microtik RB951G-2HnD. Awesome enterprise class router but overkill for most people. even more expensive

Nope, it's strictly an access point (Best in its class, but it's still not a ethernet router)

Don't have much knowledge about HDD, I like my external storejets. Its time for ssd for internal hdd though. If you want to cover 2000sft then you do not have much choices. 1. you can buy tp-link wr1043nd which is the best deal, don't go any lower, it wont work. But it is not going to meet your number 5 requirement (unless you change the firmwire). You may consider wdr4300 but I wouldn't buy it if I were you, I would rather go for Asus if I am able to spend that much money. 2. Asus RT-N56U - available in BD but it will be a lot cheaper in US. It will meet all of your needs including number 5. I was going to suggest you N66u but ya its pricey and not going to bring any extra benefit to you.
Btw, Microtik RB951G-2HnD is very good and very advanced router but don't have a wireless radio, you will need another additional wireless router for that! -isn't it avas911?
And AirRouter HP is not gonna cover 2000sft, I don't think its gonna cover more than 800sft!

you can check out this site as well

Wow @areek , eto shonmaan diye dila?

HDD-er jonno straight up @Vanguard re dhoro. Hitachi 2TB gula shunsi besh bhalo and Vanguard possibly helped Izzazul get one a few days ago. Oboshsho ekhon naki market e nai. Well you have got that covered in post 12.

As for routers... as for routers, amader office setup er shomoye I got some offers for a router called MICROTIK. I did a bit of digging and these routers are the mother of all SOHO routers possibly in Dhaka. Ei router gula highly configurable, you can do everything with them. Eto config options je tomakey ritimoto lekha pora kora laagbey! Wireless antennae alada bhabey newa lagey, kintu eder range 20k-er modhye chhilo tokhon. Briefcase bombs ek ekta. Network admin's wet-dream come true!

Tomar ki ar eto lagbey? Why don't u go for a higher end TPlink WD1043 gula?

The asus ones are really good. A little bit pricey though. I recommend these.

I am using a Microtik RB951G-2HnD. Awesome enterprise class router but overkill for most people. even more expensive
+1. The MICROTIKs are serious bad boyz.

These ones and all the latest ones are WiFi n capable. And covers my home beautifully. Even I can get connection from the flats beside me. So it sould cover 2000 sqft easily. but depends on router positioning and the design of the house too.

    http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WR1.../dp/B002YLAUU8
    http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-EA3500...4250064&sr=1-2
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002HWRJY4
Konta nile valo hobe? Mikrotik prolly a bit advanced hardware & also has to be bought from a shop, whereas I want something that is easy to configure & troubleshoot.

Nah, not even close. Non ASIC routing can only do so much these days

My wet dream was the Juniper MX240, which we recently got. That thing is, amazing.
