    Default Strange Problem!!!

It is happening for couple of months. When I press the power switch my comp turns on and immediatley turns off! It happens for sometimes then my pc turns on. I checked every connections. After joining all connections it turned on with the first attempt. after shutting it down againg after sometime I pressed the power switch and it worked. But after 6-8 hour when I again tried to turn it on it happened again! Now it is happening every time I am trying to turn on my pc. Anyone knows how to solve it?

Btw I checked the power button. It is ok as my mobo has a dedicated power button on it. When I pressed that button that sh*t happened!

    For secondary use: E2160 OC @2.2Ghz| Gigabyte 945GCMX| 1.5GB DDR2| Thermaltake 400w| Intel GMA 950

Are you running stock clocks? It might be due to low vcore at startup causing the system to force restart. If it's at stock it shouldn't happen, try increasing the vcore and check your DRAMs.

I had this prob at the beginning of this year. And guess what? I had an ASUS mobo, the x58 Sabertooth. I did wide-scale research, but not too many answers were there. Little hints I got off hours of trolling boards was that ASUS boards may have some sort of conflict with certain PSUs. If u r using an ASUS board, the best bet would be to change the board and see.

I stripped the PC and sold the components save the board.

I also saw in net that some asus mobos has that issue. One rmad that and other one changed the screw that secured the board! I brought the asus mobo from austrealia so I dont have any option to change! PSU also has no warrenty so ultimately I think I have to stay with this prob until I change the system
