I've overclocked my q6600 from 2.4 GHz to 3.06 Ghz. I plan to overclock it more after I get a better cooler. And my 4850 HD is overclocked to run at 690 Mhz core clock and 1100 Mhz memory clock.

u can make a format/form n then ask ppl to fill it up with their settings on which they Overcloked their system. Thus it will look more user friendly and well structured.

lemme know if u need any help.

    cheers.

U cant OC processor on Intel motherboards. So if u want to OC than buy a new mobo. And try to monitor ur gpu temparature. Mostly what we do we quite the game and check the temp. But it drops too rapidly. So try to use Rivatuner for monitoring ur gpu temp. If it past 90'c than lower the core clock and memory clock. 8800gts 512mb can hold up to 100'c but thats the dead mark.

I ran my E7200 for about six monthes OC'ed at 3.16GHz.The temp always stayed at below 48*c coz i used ASUS silent cooler.
    Now i OC only .26GHz.
I am running it now at 2.79GHz.
    Though it is blazing fast.

i overclocked my e5200 to 3 GHz...but i'm confused about one thing...when idle my temperature fluctuates between 37° to 39° celsius....is it okay for it to be at this temperature?....and when i tested with Orthos at 100% load the temp. fluctuated between 57 to 59° celsius...is it too hot?

Another thing when i overclocked from bios.....i changed voltage control to "Auto"...my normal voltage (from wat i saw in BIOS)....is 1.2750 V....is this voltage setting safe?......

This is the 1st time i overclocked CPU...my motherboard is Gigabyte G31M-ES2C....and my PSU is TT litePower 400 watt.....so is the above settings safe for my PC?....and if there is any other thing i need to do or any other precautions that i need to take pls mention it.....

How long will my CPU last with these settings?....

Btw........Overclocking is fun and exciting at the same time.....

idle & load temp is ok coz our ambient temp is already high.dont keep ur voltage at auto u better do it manually.if its not stable in stress test then increase ur voltage untill & unless u get it stable.dont let ur cpu's temperature get above 65".hey dont worry about how long will it last......its totally safe if u keep ur temp safe.be happy with ur overclocking.

thanks bro.....thanks a lot....ur assurance eased a lot of tension.......and about changing my settings from auto to manual, whenevr i change it to manual a big flashing red line appears mentioning..."System Voltage not optimized".....that's kind of scary, so shud i pay attention to it or just ignore it?....and how will i know or how will i find out at wat voltage is my system stable?.....do i need to use any kind of software.....and how long do i need to run a stress test?...

I shud mention one thing, i ran "Small FFTs - stress CPU"...test in orthos.....but a prob occurs when i use "Blend - stress CPU and RAM"....the screen goes blank...following immediately by a blue screen(scared the hell out of me 'cause it's just been 2 weeks i bought my PC)...and then my PC reboots itself....the same thing happens wen i try run the test again.....wat cud have caused this?....and what shud i do to avoid this?.....

System voltage not optimized isnt a prob.It means that ur pc can be not stable if u use manual voltage. Just use 'prime 95' and do stability test. If it hangs then it is not stable. Then increase one step ur voltage .

As the pc hangs that means ur PC isnt fully stable. Try to increase ur voltage. And what ram divider ur using?

    For secondary use: E2160 OC @2.2Ghz| Gigabyte 945GCMX| 1.5GB DDR2| Thermaltake 400w| Intel GMA 950
