anyone played Dead Rising? my friend bought THREE different copies of the game, none of them worked!
what is up with that, any ideas? i really wanted to play that game, seems pretty cool.

One of my friend faced the same prob. The game plays fine on the console at shop but doesn't work on his console. Many old games don't run on recently modded consoles. Probably it's because of the mod chip installed on ur console or region prob. Check which version (NTSC/PAL) the game is and is your modchipped console capable of running that version. Most of the modchips can run all versions but some chips can't run particular versions.

Old games don't run because the xbox is flashed with a NEW firmware which doesn't run games which aren't 'stealth-patched'. This patch allows you to play these games online with minor risk of consequences.

That may be your problem as well.

is it? cuz i think i've played an even OLDER(or atleast it seems older game) - Lost Planet. it runs fine for me. it's just Dead Rising.

snake, has your console got the latest flashing thing done? where'd you get your copy of the game from?

ok problem solved. playing it after updating and using the update disc.

Yes i was abt to say u need update. To run ac2 mw2 l4d2 u need an update. I have bought an update dvd. Each time i play i need to insert da disc. Did your problem said - cannot read media? rite? da permanent update is still not available. N the new xbox 360 elite cant run few games developed by EA. But still havent played any game by ea. so having no prob. N howz Dead rising? what type of game?

Yup it works now. And Dead Rising is a cool game. It's quite old though, was released back in 2006 I think. Third Person zombie slaying action/adventure you may say. I like it especially because of its 'interactiveness' where you can interact with numerous objects and use anything as a weapon. And gameplay has some good variety too.
