the difference between the PCI-E 1.0/1.1/2.0 is only bandwidth......nothing else. it's like AGP 8X/16X/32X. Don't worry about it. well we don't even use the full BW of PCI-E 1.0.

I'm not quite sure bro.As it's indicated its backward compatibility to only 1.1 it would likely to NOT work on 1.0 slot.

amar mone hoi G965 e GTX 260 bottleneck korbe. get a P35/G43. and why r u buying GTX260 ? go for radeon 4870 1GB DDR5. it's much cheaper than GTX260 in bd and offers the same performance level.

A bottleneck is a phenomenon where the performance or capacity of an entire system is limited by a single component.
far.from.cry meant by bottlleneck that if his cpus speed gonna slow down because of his mobo or not.coz the 945gcmx-s2 doesnt officially support 45nm cpus so he is confused about the full potential of the cpu

i can say 200% surely that GTX 260 will not bottleneck in PCI-E 1.0 mobo.

even today's fastest gpu, geforce GTX 295 might not bottleneck in PCI-E 1.0 mobo. jodi bottleneck kore o, seita hobe maximum 5% in 2% games. in 98% of the games, it will not bottleneck and you will get full performance. guaranteed.

    PCI-E x16 1.0 supports up to 250 GB/s and PCI-E x16 2.0 supports up to 500 GB/s.

now what is the total memory bandwidth of GTX 295 ??? it's only 223.8 GB/s man !!! so why it will bottleneck ?
