    Talking Photo's ATI Juniper (Radeon HD 5850) surface

    Photo's ATI Juniper (Radeon HD 5850) surface

    Some photo's leaked of what appears to be ATI new mainstream RV870 (Radeon 5850) graphcis card.
    ATI's DX11 class Evergreen family will contain five products. Since the flagship X2 version is made up of two GPUs, there are four code-names assigned for the initial product lineup.

    • Cypress – dual-chip flagship graphics equipped with two RV870 chips;
    • Juniper – single-chip mainstream graphics solution(s) based on RV870 ;
    • Redwood – single chip mainstream graphics solution(s) based on RV830 ;
    • Cedar – single chip entry-level graphics solution(s) based on RV810 ;
    • Hemlock – unknown.

    The cooler reminds me of the one used on the first 40nm GPU based HD 4770. The rear panel features 2 DVI-D, 1 HDMI and 1 Display Port connectors.
    Check out the thumbnails:

    Here it is guys...the bigger brother of 4850...behold the Radeon HD5850

    This is gonna be awesome
    The card is truly a next generation one>

    The release date is geared towards September
    I m really looking forward to this card actually the new series
    & it is also about time ATI taking a lead which u'd be beneficial to a company struggling & fighting both against Intel in the processor field & nVIDIA in the graphics field

    Everyone discuss in this thread about the new card/generation & express your opinion on it

    thank you

    Whatever the Card is Next gen or current gen, if game developers don't give full next gen graphics then we have nothing to do.
    Hopefully Juniper will do very good in Bussines arena.
    And Dual slot cooling seems good.

    ah as long the cards within reach & also within a reasonable price...it's all good
    +if the cards are manufactured using 40nm...the costs should come down within a good margin

    & since it uses GDDR5...bandwidth is not a problem
    I say bring it on

    Ati shud look for a hd "x" x2 which can beat gtx 295 first. Then they shud move. And ati shud also make a card dat is 1.5times stronger than gtx 295 bcoz nvidia is bringing their gtx 350es. So performance king nvidia e ase.n price performance king ati. So both are competitive.kau karo theke kom jaina.bt ati rocks with price performance.
