Default Core i5 750 release date with boxed picture

Core i5 release date have been emerged in web and it is septembar 6. Core i5 750 Retail Package unboxed picture also emerged. From the picture it seems that they use the same cooler that they used in e8xxx series. It uses a copper based cooler. The packaging box is identical to the core i7.

Some people at oc usa benchmarked it and they said this

Intel Lynnfield: Anno 1404: Dawn of Discovery benchmark results
Intel's new middle-class in form of the Core i5-750 is only little slower than the i7-920 (with deactivated TM/SMT) although it doesn't have a Triple Channel interface and thus on 4 instead of 6 GiByte RAM as well as a lower uncore clockspeed (2.13 GHz instead of 2.67 GHz). By comparing the i7-920 with activated and deactivated Simultaneous Multi Threading we can confirm that Anno 1404 is the first game that benefits from SMT - 8 percent advantage with the feature activated.

The Core i7-860 places itself slightly behind the Core i7-920 with DDR3-1333 RAM respectively slightly in front of the Core i7-920 with DDR3-1066 - the Core i7-920 is able to compensate the 133 MHz higher frequency of the i7-860 with its additional features.
Some people tested this little baby and they said it can oc 5GHZ on air with very little effort. Nice huh?

The price of Core i5 750 is 196$ and low end P55 motherboard is 120$.

WOw. My next upgrade will surely have this little monster.

    For secondary use: E2160 OC @2.2Ghz| Gigabyte 945GCMX| 1.5GB DDR2| Thermaltake 400w| Intel GMA 950

Yup. But the people tesed the core i5 said it has intense OC ability. So an highly OC Core i5 can beat OC Core i7. As u noticed people tested Core i5 said it can oc 5GHZ on air with little effort but Core i7 920 can oc @ maximum 4GHZ @ air. So OC Core i5 may beat OC Core i7. The advantages that Core i7 have over Core i5 is that it uses tripple channel memory over dual channel memory and 8 thread over 4 thread. But Core i5 is directly connected to pci-e so it doesnt have any northbridge. People think that will boost the gameplay.
