Arrow Help me to find the best monitor

I'm well-aware of the other monitor thread. it helped a lot but my criteria is a bit different.

    What I want:

    1. native 1920x1200 (so obviously Full HD)
    2. 22" to 26" (bigger the better)
    3. HDMI support
    4. Display Port support if possible
    5. lower response time with good RTC
    6. TN panel (other panels will be too much pricey for me)
    7. ~300 USD

Suggest me models guys. Prices can be quoted from Newegg and/or other online shops (no need for price in BD).

I will be researching myself and will post my finding here too.

you'll be getting thanks for every constructive/helpful posts here

From the specs Samsung P2570 seems to be the best from your list.

I believe the things in red determine how gud an LCD is. The dell has max DC ratio. T240HDs viewing angle/DC ratio is lower than others.

Btw the Dell LCD looked kool ^^

Giddy can be traced back to the same Germanic root *gud– that has given us the word God

yes, dell one looks cool. however, my primary need is daily computer usage.
This includes development works which requires higher resolution esp. height.
    so 16:10 is kinda necessary.

T240HD has a bit bigger panel.
also has a TV tuner..im not sure if it's DTV only..if it is,
i dont think there's any use of DTV in our country.
it does have some nice speakers+dolby+remote control.

on the other hand, dell one has a 2MP camera, mic, some usb and looks cool too.

how is the picture quality in games? esp. racing/FPS.

    ---------- Post added at 23:29 ---------- Previous post was at 23:28 ----------

since T240 and T240HD are almost similarly priced, i'll get the HD one i think.

Hi CVP, I hope you are aware that native 1920x1200 is actually beyond Full HD (x1080).

The T240/260 do not have 1:1 pixel mapping, therefore games will look streched, the T240/260HD which has the 1:1 Pixel Mapping option (They do not stretch the video). So most definitely the HD if you are planning to buy the Samsung. Kindly also remember you cannot wall mount the samsung monitors.

I have done most of my research on the samsung monitor so that is all the input I can provide to you now.

My friend bought a fujitsu Full Gloss 24" HD monitor, it looks soo awesome (sadly no HDMI input) for 26,000tk including a free AverMedia TV Tuner. So see if you can find Glossy screens Matte is just too old fashioned?

i'm still reading some reviews. this 1:1 mapping option is a big concern for me.
i didn't know there are lcd monitors without 1:1 mapping!
    i absolutely hate stretched images.

    my concerns are:
    - 1:1 mapping
    - input lag
    - no proper support for 4850/4870

I have the Matte version of this myself
    BenQ E2400HD Glossy Black 24": http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014181

This is a good product, I use it sometimes with my PS3, my friend who bought one for himself along with me uses it with his XBOX360. The vid quality is amazing and I am sure as this is the gloss version its even more amazing. Its native resolution is at max 16:9 (1920 x 1080), so not cutting/stretching at all.

My ati 4650 runs perfect with it, no problems. I use the DVI with the PC, VGA with the TV Tuner and kept HDMI for connecting my laptop or PS3 when and if required.

Sound isnt amazing in quality, obviously you will need to have external speakers from altec lancing.

The external frame around the screen is glossy and small which is cool but there is a silver dash panel at the bottom containing the power button, it might annoy you if you are into really sexy looking monitors.

I bought this after EXTENSIVE research in the market. Another note, apparently this monitor does not have a scaler built in so 720p games (in only PS3) are not suppose to come out right on the Full HD mode (1080p) I did not notice anything as such myself, I played most of my 720p PS3 games on it without having any issues with them.

The color looks good, but there isnt much option with maxing the contrast, so full black is tough to achieve but that should be slightly different with the glossy version as colors are even more vivid on them.

2ms response time only, which is unbelievable, there have been complaint about samsungs T models having really bad response times.

Lastly, if you wanna see it, you can come over to my place and give it a first hand look. Bought mine from Comp Valley, IDB you can go take a look there aswell.

    TC and happy hunting.
