MTK Preloader doesn't show up? When you connect the phone is there a notification saying USB device installing then the installation fails? Or does that not happen at all? If it doesn't happen at all, try a different data cable. If same result, check with other USB ports of your computer. If nothing changes, then send your phone to RMA since it might have a micro USB input port problem. And if the driver installation is failing then don't worry. Its perfectly normal. You have to install the driver manually. By going to device manager > right click to properties > update driver > select folder which is called driver. My G1 updated on first try.

Try enabling USB Debugging. Then Shut Down your phone and connect it to PC. It should work. If it doesn't, then there might be a problem with the connection between Your PC to Mobile or the Mobile itself.

Right, good thing that your phone is ok. Are you trying it with it turned on and with battery? Its supposed to be off and with no battery. Then try it on another USB port. Update the driver manually. There is a folder called driver in the "H2-firmware" folder that you downloaded from Walton site. Selecting the folder is enough even thought when you double click the folder might be empty. But it will still update the driver, because the computer auto detects the files. You just need to select the folder. After installation, it should show "MTK Android Phone" installed.

Very weird issue. But I am guessing something is up with your PC. Try it on a friends PC. See if the same thing remains.

Its better to use the driver that Walton provided, since, they tested it. Even though you might use the same MTK 6577 driver, it might not work. The issue seems like, its of your PC. Doesn't seem like your phone is at fault. Try a different DATA cable on a different PC.

sakib2212 You should probably check with customer service. It could be a hardware fault.

They should, if it is a small problem.
But if the problem is not repairable by them, then they will send it to Walton Servicing Center.
You should try B.City first. It might save your time.
