New Web Chat System

As the current chat system is a bit sluggish and takes a lot of time to load, adds overhead to main forum page,
i have just added a different web chat system. this one is using javascript/php/IRC (qchat by Rizon).

you can access it though

• main page ( http://banglagamer.com )
• http://chat.banglagamer.com
• http://banglagamer.com/home/webchat
• irc://irc.rizon.net/banglagamer (IF you have a desktop IRC client installed properly)

It is no longer a part of the forum. Current chat system will be removed shortly.

I have spend almost 8 hours to automate the chat logging system and other things
so that you guys dont face much problems.

I have plans to add option IRC username/password in forum profile.

In short, IRC is kinda like Messenger, only better.

i am also an irc user. but I feel IRC kinda OLD system.

if you didn't notice, we had a shoutbox. just removed it an hour ago.
the shoutbox only encouraged spams and slowed the loading time of main page.
not to mention it was too sophisticated for your slow connections.

IRC may be old, but it is still the best way of written chat.

I have worked a little more on this. Now it should give you names as close as possible to your BG user name if not exact.

if your user name has some chars that is not allowed in IRC, it will be replaced with _.

IRC is great, agey use kortam. Amar favourite channel e op, admin howar jonno koto jhulajhuli kortam, op hoilei ekjon arekjonre !kick kortam Ekhon r channel tai keu jai na.....sigh

I personally like mIRC with UPP. It's pretty easy and has some cool options.

I know the current webchat is not what everyone wanted. and setting up IRC can be really troublesome for
average people.

there's been a little modification on the web chat. it now auto connects.

I'm also thinking about making this "chat window" to popup in a window when you
visit forum home. so when ever you will be visiting the forums, you will be automatically
logged into the chat system. opinions please.

none is making one. i can only do a few things single-handedly.

also, MOST of the gamers in foreign country use IRC.
but almost none in our country. BG IRC channel is empty all day.
BG members need to idle in there instead of messenger/facebook.
