    Question Help Me Choose The Right PSU

    Hola Dudes & Dudettes,

    I've been saving money for the last 4 years to buy myself a gaming rig in the very recent future. My cousin is currently living in Germany, so I intend to make him bring the individual parts/components for my rig when he arrives in BD. Now I am stuck in choosing the right brand & wattage of the PSU as I will be using two MSI N770GTX LIGHTNING in SLI and one MSI N550GTX-TI CYCLONE II OC for PhysX/APEX. If it helps, let me layout a detailed configuration for my future rig:

    Processor- Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 GHz (Haswell) LGA 1150.

    Mainboard- ASUS Maximus VI Hero.

    RAM- Corsair Dominator Platinum Series®- 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) Dual / Quad Channel DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz Kit C10 Kit Memory.

    Hard Drive- Western Digital WD2002FAEX (2 TB) Caviar Black.

    Graphics Card- 2X MSI N770 GTX LIGHTNING
    1X MSI N550 GTX-TI CYCLONE II OC.

    SSD- 2X OCZ Vertex 4 (250GB).

    Cooling- Noctua NH-D14.

    *Purpose Of The PC- Gaming, Autodesk MAYA & Sony Vegas Pro. For gaming, I intend to use HDMI output.

    Question for the experts:

    1) According to my own deduction, I require a 1500W PSU. Do I really need a 1500W PSU ?. P.S- I do not intend to overclock anything.

    2) If I do need a 1500W PSU- then I prefer 80+ PLATINUM; And in such case, what brand should I go for ?.

    Thank You All In Advance.

    @Fathur-Shaon
    I don't think you are gonna need a 1500W psu ...a 850W 80+ bronze or gold psu will be enough ..as you are buying from abroad i suggest the CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W ATX12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

    this is my suggestion ..other members can suggest better

    and off topic :you've got a beast of a rig planned ..what's the cost gonna be???when are you buying these??

    @HAWX
    আপনার মতামত এর জন্য অশেষ ধন্যবাদ ভাই। সমস্যা হইসে ভাই যে, GTX770 এর Manual এ লেখা "MINIMUM PSU REQUIREMENT: 600W". জেহুতু দুইটা GTX770 আর আমার পুরানো GTX550-TI একসাথে লাগাব, তো বুজতেসি না যে আসলে কতটুকু WATT লাগবে।

    Off Topic: আমার মামা জার্মানি থেকে এই বছর এর শেষ এ আসবে বিয়া করার জন্য। তো কিছু টাকা আমি দিবো, আর বাকিটা তারে "ছিল" দিব......... XD XD XD. Cost এখনও বলতে পারতেসি না, আর Amazon/E-Bay এর মত ডাকাইত দের ভরসা ও করতে পারতেছি না। আমি দিব ১৬০০ ইউরো। আশা করি Christmas এর আগে discount ভাল পাওয়া যাবে।

    Again brother, Thank You for your suggestion

    Fathur-Shaon I think you should buy Toughpower XT Platinum 1275W Snow Edition
    http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/produc...?id=C_00001874

    Give your hungry PC the power you can manage to buy. Make PC last for long by going slightly up to the minimum requirement. Also I will suggest to use wall mount Belkin surge protector to give some extra protection to your PC.

    http://www.belkin.com/us/BSQ100-Belk.../WSPWR/WSPWRSP

    available at third floor Belkin shop

    no problem brother .it's our job to help .and for 770 SLI you need maximum 675W (recommended)+your 550Ti that's why i suggested that 850W psu ..but if you are still longing for a platinum psu and if you don't have money issue then this corsair psu should do the job for you ..my bro uses this to run i7 3770k(4.5GHz)+680 tri sli..so i think you are going to have no problem what so ever to run i7 4770k+gtx 770 SLI ..with this power supply
