    Default Pentium Dual-Core E5200 vs. Core 2 Duo E7400 in high-end gaming ?

which has better price/performance ratio in gaming (when playing everything @ ultra high and in 1024x768) ?

i think E5200 has built from c2d E7200. both has wolfdale chip, 45nm processing technology and same clock speed. the difference is E5200's cache is 2mb L2 and E7200's is 3mb. E7200 has 1066fsb and E5200 has 800fsb.

c2d E7400 is faster than E7200, but is it worth buying E7400 @ 9500/- (i dont know the current price) when i find E5200 @ 5800/- (after budget) only for gaming @ 1024x768 and everything @ ultra high ?

E5200 is best in Pentium dual-core CPU.

E7400 is Replacement Model of E7200 .it is best of low price Core2duo .

E8400 is best in Core2dou.( E8600 great CPU but not in bd market)

I used [email protected] . I play GTA4 crysis Mirror's Edge etc. at very high in GTX206 core216 & HD4850 1GB with out any CPU problem. but new game need CPU so buy E7400 (if have money buy E8400 )and wait for Corei5.

if u think the extra 1mb cache & that extra clock speed worth 9500-5800 = 3700tk to u than go 4 c2d.if u think that u can manage it without the extra 1mb cache & spend the extra 3700 on somewhere else then go for e5200 otherwise c2d.

    apnar que. Jonno thk.

G965 a 45nm supports kore na .but my 945gcmx-sa bios updet korle supports kore.
1st If u overclock ur cpu then u buy e5200 or e8400 .and if u not buy e7400.
2nd if need on board gpu & hdmi port then get the g41. if don't need buy g31. Amar mote g31 kena valo hobe.bcoz g41 don't have pci ex.2.0 and sobi same g31 sate without gpu.so g31 is best for all. I like the xfx xg31i.

3rd best hoy gpu hd 4770 used koren.

Btw ami to bograte thaki so amer price wrong hote pare a jonno ami kono price dilam na.
    Best of luck.

If i were u i'd have bought the e5200.i think its more than enough 4ur 9600GT even at stock.so at lower resolution i dont think there would be any problem. if u want higher resolution then ur gpu would become the bottleneck.however e5200 can be overclocked at 3.5 with stock cooler.800 vs 1066 fsb - maximum 1-3% difference, 2mb vs 3mb - upto 20% difference in game but not sure abt that but in non cache sensitive applications the result is 0.
e5200 has higher multiplier but lacks 4.1 instruction set which can be found in e7400.
i will say go 4 e5200 overclock it to atleast 3ghz & invest that extra money on something else....
Hope it'll help u to decide.......
