Default [Anandtech] Choosing a Gaming CPU at 1440p

    Read here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6985/c...ng-in-haswell-

    -------------------------------------------------

Easily one of the best articles I've read this year. Don't be scared off by the high resolution, because it still shows that at Single [email protected], all processors perform the same. Thus, at 1080p AMD and Intel offerings will have identical performance.

The choice for Intel is clear when going for multi-GPUs, FX processors seem to be substantially slower.

Long story short, for single GPU get whichever modern processor is the cheapest. I still find it amazing to see a 2500k still up there among the best.
