Default Who won the battle? Green VS Red.

Well, the battle between nvidia abd ATi is almost over this season.

They are now getting ready to start it all over again when DX 11 comes out.

When it all started, we thought ATi is the clear victor with 4800 series. Such low pricing and super price/performance ratio was surely a shocker.

nVidia with high pricing GT200 seemed surely to lose.
Now, at the end, we are left with some great fight backs from green side. One of those is surely GTX275.
The price cuts and modifications like GT260==>GTX260 kept green not only alive, green is now strong when it comes to mid-high and high.

ATi is still rocking with 4850 and 4770 in lower-mid and mid.

WHAT DO YOU THINK GUYS? WHO WON THE BATTLE?

GREEN OR RED OR THE NEVER WINNING THIRD PARTY[customers]???

I vote for Red (not for my own 4890 btw). Those green cards are good, but they came in too late, same goes for their price cuts. Ati started cheap and made it cheaper. And they have introduced many cards, and to be honest, it annoyed me a lot. A 'sub'-range of cards. Like for high 4800 series, mid 4700 series, low 4600 series.

Btw, did anyone else notice that Ati lists a 4890 series along with 4800 series as well?

Red paved the way for cheaper cards, before then the GTX280 was $650. Days after the 48xx series, they dropped $250 instantly to around $400. After that, its just about different vendors selling at different prices (like the examples you posted)...Hence, id say thank ATI

Look around in websites, all price points are more or less evenly matched

So its a third party win?

The main problem of us is the lack of suppliers.

Only UCC and they just butcher us. They dont even offer the full pack.

Like, if you buy a Sapphire HD 4850 512mb, there is gonna be just the card and the driver dvd. Nothing else. When i bought my 9600GT xxx, I asked for my assassins creed DVD and 3D Mark vantage ... guess what? they gave me nothing.. if there were other importers....
