Thread: Will ATI Radeon HD 4770 run on a 600 taka's 400w Delux psu ?

  1. #1

    Default Will ATI Radeon HD 4770 run on a 600 taka's 400w Delux psu ?

    will it ?

    i run my geforce 9600GT 512MB DDR3 and PD 3.0 GHz in a 600 taka's 400w delux psu. no problem faced.

    geforce 9600GT's max power draw is 95W and 4770's is 80W. so, i think a 600 taka's 400w delux psu can run a radeon 4770 512MB DDR5 with a pentium dual-core E5200.

    but, i saw 4770's minimum psu requirement is 450W in XFX's website.

    so, what do you guys say ??

    Yes it will run. Have a look at this -> http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo...m-wattage.html

    High-End Gaming PC 1

    Next goes a top-end and expensive gaming system based on Intel’s newest processor Core i7.

    * Processor: Intel Core i7-920 (2.66GHz)
    * Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R (iX58 chipset)
    * System memory: 3x1GB Samsung (PC3-10666, 1333MHz, CL9)
    * Hard disk drive: 1000GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31000333AS
    * Graphics card: PCI-E 896MB Leadtek WinFast GTX 260 Extreme+ W02G0686
    * Optical drive: DVDRW Optiarc AD-7201S
    * System case: IN-WIN IW-J614TA F430 (550W)

    If you ask at a hardware forum about the power consumption requirements of this configuration, you will most likely be advised to get a 750W power supply at the very least. Will the 500W PSU cope? Let’s see.
    The power draw of such a top-performance system is very modest, though. The maximum is only 371W. A 550W power supply will cover its appetite with ease.

    What the? GTX260 and an i7 runs on 500W? I thought nVdia cards weren't very power efficient.

    Smile Re: Will ATI Radeon HD 4770 run on a 600 taka's 400w Delux psu ?

    should run...but there is no guarantee

    well I ran my system with E8400+4670+2GB+1HD+1ROM=with 400W Delux PSU
    but the system u'd crash or slowdown when gaming for like 3hrs+ & when the processor was OCed to 3.6GHz

    good luck...I personally think that it should run...since the 40nm takes lot less power & is more efficient

    4770 u'd draw 80W peak load...meaning the mobo u'd provide 75W max...& the rest five is need for stability at loads..for which the y-cable u'd its job...converting the molex connectors to 6pin PCI-E power for ur 4770

    no, it's definitely not a original psu. original 400w would cost around 4000 taka (may be).

    The total power draw of the computer is rather modest: 189W. A 300W power supply will ensure a 50% reserve of wattage, and there is absolutely no point in purchasing anything better than a 400W PSU for this configuration.

    The total power draw of the computer is rather modest: 189W. A 300W power supply will ensure a 50% reserve of wattage, and there is absolutely no point in purchasing anything better than a 400W PSU for this configuration.
    minitt sudhu PSU er kothai bolsa......space er psu er priz e to holo 700 tk....tumi delux er psu 400 tk ta koi paila.....

    & abt 4770.....minimum 300w(actual) er psu thaka valo........u can get delta [email protected] 1700-1800 TK...(delta is ati certified brand)......or TT 400w.......

    1500-2000 taka for 400 watt delux PSU ALONE... not w/ casing

    if i was in ur place i wouldnt give a crap bout 600 taka's PSU..given the fact that ill be risking my mobo and

    GPU.

    in cheap psu the 12V rail barely delivers the required amps..so instead of 12V it tends to be on the edge....

    (this sort of low voltage stresses the GPU and other voltage regulator as well n tends to get hot since they

    have to work harder to maintain optimum voltage)

    so it means it will run but not for a long time and when it goes it mi8 take ur gpu and mobo nd other stuff

    with it caz when a psu goes down (cheap ones usually) it makes voltage spike which is enuff to make a

    permanent damage.

    -----------------------
    i really dun get this point where most of the ppl tends to save money on the PSU...when they can easily afford to buy a expensive GPU,CPU/mobo
