Templar is an exceptional hero. Her abilities are so cool. The only negetive point is that she has a very short attack range. But that doesn't stop her being one of the deadliest heroes in DotA.

My item build with her would definitely be - Stygian Desolator, Butterfly, Assault Cuirass, Kellen's Dagger, Boots of Travel and any Tier 4 Damage Item. Consequently, Skadi, Butterfly, Satanic, Cuirass & Travel is also a very strong build if you are a great farmer.

I would almost always solo with Lanaya. My skill build would be -

    Level 1 - Psi Blades
    Level 2 - Meld
    Level 3 - Refraction
    Level 4 - Refraction
    Level 5 - Meld
    Level 6 - Psi Trap
    Level 7 - Refraction
    Level 8 - Refraction
    Level 9 - Meld
    Level 10 - Meld
    Level 11 - Psi Trap
    Level 12-14 - Psi Blades
    Level 15 - Attribute Bonus
    Level 16 - Psi Trap
    Level 17-25 - Attribute Bonus

Thanks for buildup. Generally i go for travel, mkb, 2xbutterfly, satanic. What if i use blink in meld form? Am i still invisible on blink position?

I find it difficult microing her. Being able to use her ulti perfectly means being a pro player. It’s not just, you will slow your enemy to kill, but you will slow them to help your allies. Using her ulti is like mass warding the map. I always fail to use her ulti perfectly.

@pyro.. If i am forced to farm against zuse, could i take refraction first? Should i use meld to farm sometimes? As the lothers has been buffed, could i go for lothers instead?

It's very easy to kill a hero like zeus with templar. You can level up refrac and psi first. Then meld. All you need to do is: slow your opponent, turn on refrac and chase him. Don't put trap early. Just put it and blast it at a time, so that he can never avoid it.

No, I suggest Blink because sometimes the enemies gather around you and wait for you to unmeld. Sometimes they even go too far by bringing Sentries with thier Crow/Vulture. A Blink can be very useful at this time. Lothars in overkill on her. She has an invisibility, getting another invisibilty by spending 4050 Gold, in my opinion, is just not worth it.

And if you are laning against a caster, of course you need to level up Refraction and Psi Blades sooner. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

I only build 2xbutterfly if i get enough money. It depends on user. One more thing 2xbutterfly give you massive amount of speed(120%), damage(120 dmg) and good armor. You can also go for skadi instead of a butterfly.

I am sorry RuffRider, but 2x Butterflies do not give you 120% Increased Attack Speed. Attack Speed stacks with dimishing returns. And, also Evasion doesn't stack at all from multiple Butterflies.

how come AS has diminishing returns?!! There's just a AS cap of 400% in DotA.

    forget about butterfly/asslt or dagger.

if you can make deso, power treads and a bottle ~30 min, you will most likely win the game with these items only.

going Skadi+LifeSteal is never a good idea. the reason is: PSI BLADES
the spill damage is not the damage you do to the target.
it is the damage that the target takes.

so, when you reduce your target's armor and hit him, he get's more damaged. this damage is spilled.
In a simple way: Psi Blades makes deso to cleave (not actually though).

and here's the IMBA secret: Illusion's take 300% damage. make a deso. turn on refraction, hit meld, hit a illu and just see the spill damage...it's 3x the normal rafraction+meld+deso combo.
The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power.
Please do not PM me for support. You will NOT get a reply. Post in the relevant forum section.

Would you guts plz cut the ****? Simply 2 butters is a waste because, even if AS stacks, evasion never stacks.

I am stressing again...please stay on topic. If you want to discuss Attack Speed issues, post them in DotA Talk.

for now, NO ONE in DotA can life steal from multiple targets at once...not luna, not templar, not dragon knight.

previously, when Unholy Rage (act spell of Satanic) was based on vamp potion, Luna/Dragon knight (elder dk) could life leach from ALL targets (bounce/splash) when in Unholy Rage. (for version 6.4x~6.48 i think, not sure).
now that it is based on normal orb life steal, it is not possible.
The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power.
