You have to be more specific specially your budget.
Even if you have unlimited budget, tell us so we can configure something really big!!

Bro with this hardware he will be able to play games @ high graphics maximum up to 3 years. computers parts are improving greatly day by day so the games are becoming more complex with real time graphics. What is the best in today will be garbage in tomorrow. Just think about the upcoming Nvidia monster GTX3xx having 512 shading processor with ddr5 memory in a 512bit bus interface (256GBps memory bandwidth). Already now 8800 becoming minimum recomendation which was the best in 2006.

Firstly stfu and stop giving pinching comments. And Legend's 9800 gtx sli is really good. But sadly all things(at least computer) are bound to be outdated shortly.
Nextly you didn't provide any budget. We could very much aim for the best with our imaginations and add in Rampage Extremes(II) and I7 965's.But we have to be sure about what the buyer wants.

SO PLEASE be more expressive next time!

Truth is 9800GTX+ SLI 2GB and ATi 4870 X2 Crossfire 2GB is the same for gaming. There are some minor improvements on the ATi that the fanboys seem to go crazy about. Truth be told, the difference only shows up when you're rendering 3D graphics. And, in terms of practicality. while gaming all it may do is increase some FPS, which is pretty negligible in my eyes.
