Default PCI 1.0 vs PCI 2.0

    bro........i am confused about this........
in recent days every gpu has PCI 2.0
so, do we really need a pci 2.0 supported mobo for pci 2.0 gpu.......
don't we get full performance of pci 2.0 gpu with a pci 1.0 mobo.....??
    plz help me with this.........!!

Default Re: PCI 1.0 vs PCI 2.0

Thats right. Todays GPUs dont fully utilize the BW of PCIe 2.0. But there are some mobos which have a a effect. Like P45 ones. They have 2 PCIe 2.0 x8 lanes or 1 x16 lane. So someone might think that they might be slow. But P45 actually provides enogh BW for a very powerful crossfired system. Cause a x8 2.0 lane has the same BW as x16 1.0 lane.
