Default Intermittent connection with my Zoom 5350

I have been using a Zoom 5350 cable modem/router combo ( with my Charter internet connection for more than a year now. I did not have any issues with it for the first 4-6 months. But after that I keep having connection issues. The unit keeps dropping both wired and wireless connections. Unplugging and plugging in the Ethernet cable resolves the issue for the wired connection. Sometime I need to reset the modem. These problems used to happen every few weeks before but now they happen a few times everyday. These happen mostly when I stream videos from YouTube or Twitch or sometimes when I FTP files to my Xbox. A few times it happened while I was playing DotA 2 when everything else was turned off. Not sure if those could be the reasons.

I reached Zoom technical support, they could not help much except offer to replace it. Zoom sent me a new unit but I have the same problems with it. A Charter technician checked my line a few days ago and found no problems with it. The signal for my connection has been boosted from Charter a few times already. I used a Charter modem for one week, and during that time this connection issues happened twice. I have seen people having similar issues with gateways in general, some have suggested deactivating IP flood detection but I have disabled it from day one.

When I drop connection, all the lights in the modem light up correctly. So I think it could be a problem with router side of my unit since the modem part is apparently working. The signal levels of the modem are not the same as what I get using the Charter modem but they are acceptable.

Below are some screenshots from the modem settings page

Any ideas as what could be the problem?
