details abt agenda of general meeting of 27 march:
DOTA tournament prize distribution ceremony
for the purpose of DOTA prize giving, assault cafe has been reserved for 1 hour on 4 april friday. since DOTA tourney has been a major initiative of banglagamer (apart from BFL n CnC), this program will be BIG. sponsors, media will be present at that event.
we expect that all the members of BG will come to the event to make it successful. if we can pull it off, media and sponsors will definitely take notice.
member contribution/fund-raising
if willing members contribute a small sum to the fund every month, then after a year a huge amount can be accumulated. using that fund, organizing tournry, publicity would be possible/easier. besides, if we manage to create such a sound financial base then that'll help us secure big sponsorships too. pro gaming will become a reality then.
clan subdomain and website
we will be giving out subdomain and websites to the clans registered with BG. there will be a minimal charge for this (which will go to the fund).
pro gaming
the concept about pro gaming is, you get paid and receive status for playing. its not like every1 participates in a tourney and best 3 get the prizes. strong financial base and sponsorship are required for pro gaming, and we shd set our sights on that.
CS server
a big amount is required for maintaining a dedicated line 24/7 for playing CS (and probably other games too). this has been discussed in the forum before, but we dont seem to receive enough response.
