He is trying to say 4870 X2's memory just got a few more Mhz than a an 8600GT. Obviously he is indirectly trying to convince:

8600GTS = 2.26 Ghz = 5000tk
4870 X2 = 3.6 Ghz = ~ 40000tk

So for just 1.3 Ghz more memory frequency you pay 8 times more! In his world wat matters is memory frecuency.. nothing else. He fails to mention shaders, texture proessing power, memory bandwidth and other important stuffs!
