    Default A Levels Coming Up

As you might know A Level Examinations are starting from the next month. I'm giving 4 papers. Math C1, Economics Unit 1 and 2 and Accounting Unit 1. My exams are from the 13th till the 17th.
Any other candidates here are welcome to share their thoughts and previous candidates are encouraged to give me some advice about exams in general, doesn't matter if you gave HSC or Cambridge. Share your studying methods and tips.
My cousins mother used to take away his PS2 and Computer a month before the exam to create a studying environment. What about you guys?

I have my last sitting of alevels thi June ( A2 june e hoi only ). I'm giving Physics unit 4,5,6 and Chemistry 4,5,6.

Advice? Keep your head cool during the C1 exam, as no calculators are allowed, recheck each step carefully, silly mistakes are bound to happen. Good luck!

    Econ-1:
    Section A:
You can score 2 or even 3 out of 4 even with an incorrect answer if your definition and example/limitation/elimination/evaluation is appropriate. Beat around the bush if you are unsure. All you have to do is show them you know something about the topic to score half the marks.
    Section B:
Almost every question has two marks allocated for definition and graphs.
The last 12 marks distribution: Definition (2), graph (2), two effects (2x2) and two evaluations (2x2). Follow the format and you're gold.

    Econ-2:
Answer whichever whose last question (the 30 marks one) you are more comfortable with. Again, format: definition (2), graph (4), three effects (4x3), three evaluations (4x3). If you can't come up with an appropriate graph, add one more effect and evaluation for secure those 4.

The bottomline is draw a lot of graphs everywhere (doesn't have to be detailed and scaled; just show shifts in curves and such) and define everything as a safety net to those two marks allocated marks in every answer.

I'd suggest you to stop browsing internet in exam days, it'll help you to concentrate on studies more.

Really helpful post breaking down all the mark distributions.

I'd like to thank all of you for the advice. I really appreciate it.

^The Jan 2014 session has been cancelled and there won't be any Jan session from next year onward. You either finish it now or you wait until May 2014. And as far as I have heard, May 2014 will be the last session of the current Edexcel syllabus.

As for strikes, no worries. There won't be any strikes on exam days.

That's a pretty gay reason, if they were that concerned about resist then they should had a better system in the first place. The initial students who's first session are in May will have a tougher time since the time leading to their actual exam hasn't increased and now they'll have to take on more pressure before the exam. Should be fine afterwards, but a provisional exam schedule should have been put in place for people who already made plans based of the old schedule. At least 1 years notice would've helped things a lot too.

@aayman vai and the rest, is it possible to transfer exam centers when you have already registered in private?

In other words, can I change my exam venues to a certain one? I wanted to take all my exams from Academia.
