Default How much "gaming" has changed in your life?

    Hi guys,
i was just timepassing & browsing & saw the topic "7 years in Banglagamer" and it made me thought what has changed in my gaming habit in last 10 years? of course most of the old users of this forum are now leading a professional life and maintaining family life, so how much has gaming changed for you? personally i have stayed away from multiplayer & mobile games for a very long time. on the single player side fps, racing & open world games are no more interesting to me. i feel more connected with smaller size action games and rpg games. recently i enjoyed Xcom chimera squad. how about you? feel free to discuss. thanks.

Not completely related but I can share an experience.

I used to look forward to play games all the time when I was still in school(I hated studies). Played Counter Strike for over a decade now, and I all I thought was about playing CS whenever I could the opportunity. But now I don't get that same level of excitement when I play a game, idk what happened but it's pretty sad now looking back.

I hope it's not the same for you guys as well. I think it's true that our brains and perceptions do change as we age. What was once really enjoyable becomes just another thing to pass time.

what's up Dipanzan? great to hear from you. yes i can feel you. same thing happened to me for fps games. i dont see any point shooting one after another. but in my opinion with age comes the appreciation and understanding of good things in games. that's why whatever time i get, i play either old good games to cherish those memories or play different genre games. like i started playing bioshock remaster again and now i can appreciate why this world of Rapture is so thoughtfully created. and at that time i pirated the game (i couldnt afford at that time). anyway i am lucky enough to still manage time at this age to play games. most of my friends worry about education of their children or property.

The only game i am looking forward to , is red dead redemption 2 (yes i haven't played it yet).
Lately i basically preferred to play indie games with good stories what i kind of felt emotionally attached to.... but, now a days ,
With family , job and everything else .... even that almost non-existent urge to engage myself into these digital interactive entertainments died off.
Moreover, my "Personal" computer isn't even in " personal" place no more.
But one day ...... some day .... things might change

I've gone from playing shooty-shooty games to stabby-stabby games. More up close and personal. I've moved away from any competitive multiplayer. Finished the Witcher in this lock-down. As a teacher I get to divide my day into work and non-work. No kids yet, but that mention of property hits hard. I feel like I value one time unique experiences rather than repetitive griding.

Also I do lurk around BG. The website is bookmarked in my browser. So if nothing else, I load up the site just to check if I have internet or not .

It's been such a long time, I'm doing okay bhaiya! How are you?

I don't know what happened to me, but I completely detest playing any kind of games now.

Gaming has changed a lot, so do I. But I still play games regularly. Just got back from my 668th hour on Battlefield 1 multiplayer. So you can say I haven't deserted gaming yet.

I have done so much of Battlefield and Tomb Raider for the past two years that the amount of time I invested in other games are pretty little.

I have 24 games installed in my PC right now but whenever I want to play games I basically play an hour or two from Battlefield 1. Played 50 hours of Battlefield V but didn't enjoy it that much. Playing Need For Speed: Heat as well sometimes. Also played The Division 2 for around 30 hours last month. Played 3 or 4 hours of Call of Duty Modern Warfare's Battle Royale mode but I'm so much n00b in that side of gaming.

Upcoming PC Titles section in BG used to be one of my favorite. I still so much into gaming news always but I barely come to this place now-a-days. Missing old BG and always talk with others about the old days.

During ramadan I used to play CSS starting from after Iftar and ended it before Seheri. Those good old days. Now can't play multiplayer games because of my family obligations and work. But I do play racing game regularly. Real racing 3 on Android and GT on PS4. I would still like to play games all day but unfortunately don't get the time for it. Joind BG in 2008, not much active here now but still love to come here time to time to see what is everyone discussing
