    Better as in spec wise?

I find the cheapest Sony better than all these walton/symphony phones.

It's worse than MSM8260 Snapdragon which came out like 2-3 years ago.

EDIT: I made a mistake there. It's better than 8260 in benchmark which came out more than a year ago.
But it's not as good as the slightly new 8260A Krait dual cores. Sorry about that.

They are much better on paper.
It's like comparing an age old celeron with a bulldozer octa wheres the bulldozer wins.

Not many people understand that the spec on paper aren't everything. You gotta take display, build quality, dev support and some other stuff into consideration when you're buying a droid.

    Don't be a FANBOY, man.

In this price range what they are offering is quite commendable. Because no other COMPANY(sony, samsung) is providing anything in this price range which can be said that "yes this one is better than symphony/walton". And u r talking about PROCESSOR, what about RAM?? Symphony is providing 1GB ram within 15K, remember with 976mb available for use where Xperia J is providing only 512mb with about 350mb available for use. I am not directly comparing these 2 but i am trying to say that when u can do stuffs like gaming, listening music, installing almost all the apps and also getting jelly bean in only 15k then i think atleast we should appreciate it a bit.

And i am not saying all these without personal experience. I personally used Symphony w30, w60, w90 & Walton g1. And found each one of them very good regarding their price. I even played games like GTA:VC, Aspalt 7, Blood & Glory without any lag in "medium" settings on my G1. I was also able to run Batman The Dark Knight Rises with a little bit stuttering. And my device was not ROOTED.

So please don't judge them by only seeing that these are CHINESE phones. If they are providing a phone with 2/3 years old QUAD-CORE PROCESSOR(as u have said before) with 1GB RAM which is able to run games like GTA:VC, Aspalt 7, Blood & Glory etc. in only 15k then i don't know about others but i will buy them any day with my eyes closed. Because i don't care how vibrant my display looks or how shiny my phone is or whether it is a "branded" set or not when i am getting the performance.

Thanks for reading my LONG post & NO HARD FEELINGS

    lol I'm a fanboy?
I can be a bit biased but I am not a fanboy.

And you people call it price range. But you're not on a budget if you're spending more than 10k on a phone. For less than 10k, it's okay. But if you cross 10k, I don't see the worth.

And about ram, I already said, specs aren't everything.

I didn't say they are using old processors, I'm saying they are using cheap processors that are slower than old dual core processors.
I haven't used these phones first hand, but please try a better branded low end phone. [except for Samsung] You can get those phones easily.

It's your fault you didn't root it. :/ Androids are nothing you don't customize it. They are meant to be played with. And you can't do that if you don't have good dev support. I have run Asphalt 7 on a 1GHz Scorpion and 440MB[512 in total] with no problem whatsoever. SPECS ON PAPER AND BENCHMARK SCORES ARE NOT EVERYTHING.

And don't blame me for using a better branded phone. If you can afford those quad core phones, you can easily afford a branded mid end phone.
Just because it says 'Quad core' doesn't mean it's actually pretty powerful. It might have some raw power but that's not worth it overall.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not arguing with you. I'm not a fanboy either.

You are trying to slip out of it very tactfully mate.

Yes, 15k is a very very very low budget for a decent smartphone regarding the price of Samsung, Sony. U r saying one thing over and over again that "specs aren't everything" if specs aren't everything then what is LOOKS, BRAND this is just funny!! If i am getting what i wish for within 15k which other BRANDs are failing to provide then whats the problem. And please don't come to a conclusion without even using one so i will request u to atleast try to see and use a Walton G1 or Symphony w90 or w 125 for a bit then comment.

And FYKI i was not unable to root it i just wanted to say that i was able to play the above mentioned HIGH END games without even rooting it. I could easily ROOT it if i wish.

I am not blaming u for using a so called "better" BRANDED phone i am just saying if u can't appreciate a good thing then atleast don't say BAD things about it without even using one.

And why should i buy a BRANDED mid range phone when i can buy a NON-BRANDED high end phone which can do everything u through at it with ease.

    And yes mate U R NOT A FANBOY, U R A ANTI-CHINA MOBILE BOY & u know it.

You can get a decent Sony phone for 15k ,a good HTC for 20k.
Specs on paper aren't everything cause you need build quality, display, resolution, dev support. If you don't want these, buy whatever you want.

And FYKI i was not unable to root it i just wanted to say that i was able to play the above mentioned HIGH END games without even rooting it. I could easily ROOT it if i wish.
Rooting doesn't necessarily makes your phone more powerful. It gives you the power to make it more powerful. Your argument is invalid.

I am not blaming u for using a so called "better" BRANDED phone i am just saying if u can't appreciate a good thing then atleast don't say BAD things about it without even using one.
Every time I asked people what's up with these rebanded phone, they replied with 'you must own a sheiram dami phun and you think of yourself a kewllzz boy, don't you?' Quite literally.

And why should i buy a BRANDED mid range phone when i can buy a NON-BRANDED high end phone which can do everything u through at it with ease.
Haha. My point was those aren't as high end as they seem to be. That's why I compared it with a dual core.

    And yes mate U R NOT A FANBOY, U R A ANTI-CHINA MOBILE BOY & u know it.
Haha, you can say that. Or you can say that I'm an enthusiast, in a way.

WALTON Primo user experience apparently is not very good. Though it is touted to b 'the machine', it seems to have short battery life, usb connectivity probs and so on.

ppl have only started to use the W125 and seem impressed by it. Give it some time for a longer ownership review.

U r FULLY BLINDED with the typical BRAND names and i don't see any reason to waste my time on this topic anymore.

U r saying things about a thing without even using one so i see no point of arguing with u anymore.

I feel sorry because u don't know how to appreciate things but know very nicely how to say bad things about it. You people make it so hard for others because you think that what u r thinking is right but actually they are usually WRONG. So just be happy with your phone.

BTW, U R VERY TACTFUL, R U A LAW STUDENT OR SOMETHING?? just kidding

I HAVE NOTHING MORE TO SAY.

Normally, I use a lot of internet slang in these arguments and people get the idea that I'm being too serious and offending them which is totally not the case.
So I use being a 'constructive critic' here.

Well so much for being constructive.

oww chill every one.no need to get this heated up.and @Frank3nst3in instead of seeing the chipset of of the cpu and benchmarks try to know about the cpu's main arm architectre more(only cpu not gpu).like that symphony is a 4core cortex a7.the qualcomm you mentioned is a dual custom a8(works close to a9).karits are way better than a9.and karits are custom cores based on a15(currently the best) but a bit worse...and the cortex a5 is just crap.(ps:theyre all arm7)
