    Default About CPU Cooler..

Im using i5-3470..and i want it to last another 3 or 4 years smoothly..

but its using stock cooler n pretty sure its 'made in china'...

So should i get a aftermarket cpu cooler??

[have no intention of upgrading to K series in d near future and my room's temperature ain't human or pc friendly (no ac), if those things matters]

anyways, If i should change then what would be a decent yet budget cpu cooler...please advice

    (Budget: no more then 4-5k)

Did you get a tray cpu? Usually if you don't overclock (you can't get a significant oc on the 3470 anyway) an aftermarket cooler isn't actually required. I use a G2010 currently and the temps are pretty much the same with the cheap stock 1155 socket cooler (not the one that comes with the retail box) and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo. ( @SadmanBD )

But if you still want to get one, I won't suggest spending too much on it. There's a few Deepcool heatsinks available (don't go for the small one, forgot the name) that are pretty cheap or you can go with the 212 evo.

Ranges from 2.8~3k depending on the Binary Logic branch. The sellers at the multiplan branch are pretty good compared to the ones at the IDB branch, but multiplan is closed till further notice so you'll have to get it from IDB.

If you are too much worried about it just get the Deepcool Gamma Archer @900tk. No point in buying a cooler with 4/5k for a cpu which you can't oc. I also use G2010 with the cheap chinese cooler that came with it and the temp idles at ~32c and on workload its ~45c.

Buying a good cooler is always an advantage so dont think its a waste of money and its not only for a single socket if you even change the pc , the cooler will stay with you as well so grab the cm 212 evo
