You come to play against me in SHIFT 2 with ANY of your "USB Gaming wheel" (apart from G25 and G27) while i'll be in a 360 controller, you will get back to the pavilion crying. I aint such a pro but they are that bad.

last month i was in the market for a decent wheel too............after long research found that there is no cheap decent wheel in bd. the logitechs mentioned here are expensive but worth the money and probably outta league for most of us.

the best u can get is genius 900FF. its a decent wheel at around 8500-9000tk with 1 yr warrenty.

has force feedback, 900 degree turning.

bt as others said not good for arcade racing as they require fast and harsh steering controll.

may be sims will do (like dirt or shift series) but i suppose the wheel wont last very long if played buy some pro gamer.

i was plannig to use it for scania truck driving simulation and euro truck simulator 2 . as these games dont need the harsh type of steering inputs.

I have bought a steering wheel last month with 2 pedals (gas and break, no clutch) and a gear shifter (just gear up and down).

It is a Chinese wheel, and took me 3500/- bucks to buy. The pedals part is to be attached to the wheel part via an USB port, and the wheel platform is to be attached to the PC via USB. The carton says it works with XBox and PS as well, but I don't have either of those to try on. The has an outer diameter of about 9.5 inches, which is very small. At least 12 inches would have been good. There are several keys on the wheel to choose for NOS and all. The wheel can be turned by up to 45 degrees on each side, which makes it a 90 degree wheel. It cannot be called decent as the pro wheels can be turned by up to 270 degrees - means, you can turn it by up to 135 degree on each side. The wheel of my home car (it is a toyota probox) can be turned by two and a half (2.5) full turn on each side, making it probably a 360 * 2.5 * 2 sides = 1800 degree wheel. Drivers call it "আড়াই প্যাঁচ".

Interestingly, the wheel platform has a lap adapter, which helps you to fit the whole thing on your lap. It probably has force feedback, I mean it vibrates whenever I hit anything, or drive on rough terrains.

I have played NFS Most Wanted (the old one, aka NFS 9), NFS Hotpursuit (NFS 6), NFS Underground 2 (NFS 8 probably) and NFS Pro Street. There is a "mode" key on the wheel, to switch between "arcade" and "simulation" - green is for arcade and red is for simulation.

Frankly, I only enjoyed NFS Pro Street with simulation mode. It's kinda awesome. Very smooth control, no sudden movements. On the other hand the arcade mode is very sensitive and extremely difficult to control. The gear shifter is only used when I play Drag races, otherwise I never play on manual gear.

Would like share some pictures later on. How to do that?

    ******************************************************************************** ********************************************

    # Can you guys please suggest me some racing games for pc (apart from Truck simulators) to be played with steering wheels? I would like to try some.

    # Is there any other genre of games that can be played with a steering wheel? This might sound like a wild goose chase, but has anybody ever tried to play FIFA with steering wheels? There are enough keys on the wheel to accommodate necessary keys, and you have the wheel for direction.
