Default GTX 1660 or RX 590? (Same Price)

Okay so, I am planning to upgrade my GTX 1050ti. 1080p60fps is more than good enough for me. Since the recent AMD price cuts, the Zotac GTX 1660 and XFX RX 590 both cost EXACTLY THE SAME. yes the RX 590 has the 3 game bundle offer but tbh I have already own DMC 5 and RE2, the division 2 might be interesting but not a priority.

So the bundles aside, just from a performance and future gaming standpoint, which GPU would you recommend considering both are priced exactly the same. I saw some of the reviews and they are almost neck and neck in terms of average fps. so I am really confused here and hence looking for some advice.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Since, both camps have been suggested, I'll take a different approach.

If you have the time, wait for Navi, either that is gonna be good (although I've little hope for it) or there are gonna be definite price cuts for products already out on the market.

Lol. Never wait for anything. The only reason I suggest people AMD build these days is because you can upgrade to future AMD cpu. Buy a Ryzen 2000 build now, you can just upgrade to 3000 in a few months.

As long as AMD is sticking with GCN, it's gonna be garbage. Fortunately Navi is the last GCN.

Rx 590 has already been old and amd has pushed the card to it's limit , as navi will come anyways so there will be few possibility to support the rx 590 cards on that time . on the other hand these nvidia cards are pretty new and already been used turing architecture . which means atleast you have 2 years of game support so gtx 1660 is in the sweet spot . it is highly efficient and also worth the price

Tru dat. By the time Navi comes out he should have enough funds to buy a RTX 2060. I like your way of thinking. But I digress, OP already chose 1660 per his comment on Torrentbd forums. So end of discussion.
