    check to amio korsi...oneeeeeeeeeeekbar ... smtimes lage smtimes lagena in fact, koekbar even dekhsi stationary target mere je smtimes akdom mathae marleo headshot hoena...even with full zoom where i was literally aiming at his nose . maybe you guys have a new patch where they fixed it... however, the fact stays that it's a buggy game and the bugs can turn any game around. i'm sure all the experienced players are acquainted with the less ceremonious aspects of the game such as random shield gun ignores, anomalous flak shell and shot dmg and irregular shock combo damage. there are also the 'lesser' lightning damages which are often inexplicable. even the minigun is less than perfect,with some bullets apparently vanishing into thin air.

    Random shield gun ignore is really rare.

    flak damage IS variable.

    shock combo damage HIGHLY depends on the distance from the core center.

    lightning has a splash radius.

    there is absolutely no relation between the minigun bullets (the visual) and the real hit/damage.


    correct me if im wrong.

    btw, there's a bug with armr which sometimes makes shield not absorb damage properly when the player getting shot has both a large and a small shield. It is fixed by default when using UTComp.
    The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power.

    na you're right...also,i forgot to mention the shield ignore bug... headshots are especially buggy because sometimes headshots ignore shield completely and sometimes they don't. i've been in situations where i had 135 life and 150 shield and i died to 1 headshot,and in others with 100 life and 50 shield where i was left with 10 health after a headshot. also,i'm not talking about the visual bullets but the actual bullets that are spent.i once went absolutely up-close to my stationary opponent (as close as possible so that nothing but his model could be seen) and fired mini shots,even then the % of shots hit was 42% . also,combo dmg varies at times no matter where you are. i've seen situations where a combo to the face did NO dmg and smtimes a combo doing over 200 dmg.

    the ONLY 100% balanced FPS EVER made is quake 3 arena... NOTHING else is 100% balanced .ok,so you can say that the spawn point is random,but the otherwise flawlessly consistent gameplay dynamics more than makes up for it.

    oh come on! LG Headshots do 140 damage. So if you have 100 life and 50 shield, you will naturally be left with 10 life. And I bet making a survey with experienced gamers will reveal that the chances of "1 shot 1 kill even when you have 135 life and 150 shield" are nil. Honestly, I have never in all my UT 2004 gaming experience ever seen such an anomaly. You sure Weiner doesn't use cheats? lol. Also, upgrade to the latest patch, man. I am sure the few minor bugs be removed if you do so. Maybe UT2004 doesn't beat Q3 when it comes to fluid dynamic gameplay, but its a great competitive game nonetheless.
    Regarding combos, they NEVER do more than 199 damage...unless, you hit a combo full in the face and then you send the opponent hitting the ceiling or something, which kills him on impact, or his flak or rocket disintegrates on his face on hitting the core. And even if you think you are hitting a person in the face with a combo, the distance isn't always perfect. Optical illusions? Over excitement? Shooting the trigger too early? heh.
    And I have no idea about mini, as it is one of the weapons i rarely use.

    Minigun bullets do spread a little. Alternate fire spreads more.

    btw, I agree with LH. make sure you have the latest patch (3369) and Weiner doesn't use cheats ;P

    maybe it's the patch or something but it's proven. i record every game i play and we both put the replays with the anomalous 中中 under strict scrutiny and checked it out,it did happen and without any wall hitting or 中中 like that. i'm sure you have no qualms about the shield gun ignores,though?

    as for optical illusions,again the demos have shown a lot of anomalies...perhaps spikes are to explain that...

    Camping sucks, and you can't really avoid spawn-camping. Spawn Camping comes naturally if you play a map hundreds of times.

    by Spawn-Camping i meant, Camping near spawn points (valid only in crowded servers). it is worse than camping.

    however, i think LH referred to killing an opponent and then predict and rush to an spawn point to see if he spawned there. if so, most of the time, you have the advantage. this is perfectly ok.

    Sorry, even alternate fire spreads a bit, but the spread is considerably less than the primary fire's.

    The Spawn Camping CVP explained definitely seems to be the worse kind of anti-sportsmanship. What sort of strategy is that?!!! Cowardly!!! I never thought people could even resort to such tactics.

    But in 1on1s I do believe that predicting and rushing to the respawn point to utilize your advantage is perfectly acceptable; it truly shows the mastery over the map and the game.
