Loved by few,
Hated by many
But respected by all!!
if it is for daily use then brand really doesnt matter IMO. just buy which one is cheaper. samsung is popular for its reliability but performance starts declining after 1/2 years usage. experience from using 830, 840, 850 & 860.![]()
not much. Started with OCZ, now using adata & wd blue along with samsung ones. i am also using a samsung SM951 for my boot drive.
In my experience yes. for example once i started playing AC Unity which is sitting in my ssd for almost 4 years. it took like 4-5 minutes to load the game. then after 4-5 times starting & quitting the ssd starts loading the game properly. also i see massive decrease in IOPS in the older ssds. when i fill the samsung ones to the end the read/write speed suffers. may be my ssds are bad or my motherboard controller is bad. cause nobody got this type of problem.
Did anyone noticed any exciting news with Microsoft’s next OS? Particularly taking advantage of NVME speeds.

I think you should do a NAND reset for your SSDs if they support that. I'm sure all SSDs support that kind of reset. The thing is NAND sells do degrade, but that happens if you do a tonne of read/write cycles on those SSDs, this is where the enterprise level SSDs shine compared to normal SSDs. If it were normal gaming/desktop needs, then that shouldn't have happen.
My Crucial M4 still has most of its speed even after all these years. I think I'd blame your I/O controller on the motherboard, check if you get similar speeds compared to other users using the same chipset/board.
