You can consider second hand 8700k. People are selling theirs for 32-35k.

You should also check if a B360 can run a 9600K properly. Older boards work but for the 9900K, the VRMs were too weak. Not sure if the same applies for 9600K as well.

There is no point in buying a 9th gen unlocked SKU if you don't plan on overclocking it. Furthermore, using such a CPU on a Potato motherboard like the B360F could end up reducing the lifespan of the motherboard real quickly not to mention that motherboard will be unable to extract the full performance of the CPU. Consider going for something like the Core i7 8700 or the locked 9th Gen SKU when they arrive.

would love to buy an 8700 even second hand but cant find one and afaik 8th and 9th gen both are of same chip set then how i could be a problem 9900k is too powerful for b360 but 8600k and 9600k both are similar

going for 9th gen as 8th gen i7 is not available in the market and planned to buy an unlocked cpu coz non K 9th gen not available atm and B360 F can handle an 8600K without any problem and 9600K and 8600K are same cpu so how can it be problematic?? my actual plan was to buy an 8700 but out of stock so planned to buy a 9600k

You have stated that you're not gonna overclock. K-series processors are unlocked and can be overclocked that's why a premium needs to be paid. Go for a non-K cpu and pour the money saved elsewhere on ur system.

My pc usages are fairly limited to gaming and browsing and excel.
cant figure if this is a srs question or not

My advice is that as long as ur cpu is not bottlenecking ur gpu in any way, there's no plausible explanation to upgrade

Guys I think your efforts are better directed elsewhere. Any guy who wants to buy an unlocked SKU with a locked potato motherboard and even wants to spend more on an aftermarket cooling solution surely knows what he's doing. He needs no more guidance and directions. Leave it at that.
