Suggest a 3g/4G USB Modem for PC for Voice+SMS

So I'm basically looking for a 3g/4G/Lte USB modem for my laptop so that i can make/Receive Text msg, make/receive calls and most importantly check bkash balance.

If anyone has any experience with Gramophone Modem or any other modems, please let me know.

not sure about calling and receiving but you can use text messaging in grameen phone modems , the problem with grameen phone modems are they used to be really good but after 2 years of useage sometimes they have network down or huge spikes maybe mostly dependent on the area coverage but for regular use they are pretty decent to go

Don't bother. Just buy a cheap 4G phone and use USB tethering.

You can get Banglalion 4G modem on classified websites but weirdly it's from an era where WiMax was called 4G. So they're not 4G LTE.

Banglalion did roll out LTE a few moths before other mainstream mobile carriers and did release a LTE modem, I suspect they might've locked the 4G band to what they use so you can't use BL, GP, Robi etc. on it.

700-800 taka generic ones have finicky software (crashes, ussd menu doesn't work sometimes, call doesn't go etc.) and are limited to 7.xx Mbps download. Yes small b.

1500+ taka ones name brands like (ZTE, Huawei, D-link) are usually 21 Mbps but their software is hardly any better. Mostly cause they're so old.

I won't mention GP modems cause iirc they're 2G. Could be wrong though.

On the other hand a cheap handset usually can do everything and usually their 4G speed is 100 down-50 up and 42 something Mbps 3G unless they're old af. Plus when tethered they get detected as ethernet, so you can set them as metered in W10 saving bandwidth. While the old 3G modems get detected as dial-up, eating bandwidth in windows updates and whatnot. Garbage!

No. Why would you need that anyway? Just key it from the phone.
