Default Is it a good time to buy a mid-range GPU in BD?

    My current specs:

    Motherboard: ASRock Z370 Extreme 4
    CPU: CORE i5 8400
RAM: Team elite vulcan red 2x8 GB @3200 MHz (dual channel)
PSU: Antec NX550TW 550 Watt 80 PLUS Bronze

    Display: LG 22mp68vq-p

I want to game on my 1080p monitor on high/max settings. I found that 1060 and 580 are both good cards. But since i have a free-synch enabled monitor i would like to go with amd 580. (though 580 is more power hungry than 1060 )

My question is, should i buy the gpu now, considering prices? If so which version should i go with?
I dont care much about noise/RGB. Aesthetics are optional. shops: startech/ucc/binarylogic

I dont intend to overclock the gpu, so i would prefer one that has higher clock speed out of the box.

PS: anyone has any idea about buying gpu in china? will i get lower prices or will it be same as BD (airport taxes etc) one of my colleague is going there.

it is a great time to buy a second hand gtx 1070 than buying a first hand 1060/580 . wait for the release of 2060 and others and then take any decision but buying a mid range gpu right now isnt a wise decision

No matter what we suggest, in the end, you will buy whatever Startech's salesmen suggest. #fact

    No I didn't buy a 2080...yet.

I moved from Ryzen 1600 to 8700K. 2080 is being horribly priced in BD, if I get it closer to US price then I will consider getting one.

Chinese market tend to mostly sell from their own brands. I get that it's difficult to invalidate which one's more legit than the others, my advice would be to not to buy it from there though your mileage could vary. I do know a guy who ships stuff from Malaysia.
