Anyone have any experience of buying from Craigslist USA through a friend or relative

I have been wondering, after seeing so many freaking good deals on Craigslist USA, did anyone here buy from there? Through a friend or a relative or in any way?

OR can anyone help me do that? I have some relative but I don't trust them having knowledge about this kinda issue. So.......

AFAIK all meet ups r in person in public places, I wouldn't worry too much about scams. Can't remember but I think there's a service where u can hire a company to pickup and ship the item for you. Google it.
