    Hi there. I was wondering how free mobile games generate revenue. I know that mostly in game ads and micro transactions are the way to do it. But what are the specifics and the actual process?

    Ads : Ads in menu. Mostly in Apps. Rarely in games. Buy license to get rid of ads etc.

    Microtransactions : Consumables. Timed consumables. Level up consumables etc. Like 5 lives in Candy Crush and similar games. 30 minute to regenerate each life. But buy life instantly with real life cash. Limited bullets in Shooter games.

    Telematry : Collecting data on you and selling it to ad agencies, which in turn show you related ads in various websites you visit or apps you use. Which websites you visit, what kind of apps you use, what types of p0rn you watch, what items you usually check in etailers (amazon, newegg etc.), what you talk about in voice chat (FB Messanger, Discord) etc.

    When any product is stated as free, it usually means you, the user are the product.
