so I have been using frostwire for awhile now, runs great, speed n functionality n all but eats up too much in the background, so went for utorrent, used it in the past thought they might have updated all the bugs out, soo I see is that on utorrent it fluctuates alot and I mean alott 7 6 8 15 30 up 40 n 50Kbps when my frostwire if the torrent quality was good, it wud show went from 10 to 45-50-60 in seconds. so I need suggestions on what clients you guys prefer?

my utorrent client uses 7.2k ram memory. and bro, set upload speed to 1, global connection 130, maximum peer per torrent 80, upload slot 3, and connection port <60000. this may help you.

My BitTorrent client uses 44.5KB memory. And upload speed can also be set to 1 KB/S. It is not that bad.

While downloading ... download the torrent which has many seeders preferably more seeders than peers (leechers). For an example, torrent1 has 50 seeders ... same file but different torrent - torrent2, which has 100 seeders ... then download torrent2! ... Another example, Avatar.torrent has 50 seeders but 250 peers, another torrent, Avatar-rip.torrent, has 46 seeders but 150 peers ... in this case download Avatar-rip.torrent because the seeders/peers ratio is higher than Avatar.torrent ... If your upload doesnt hamper your download speed/quota (like if you are using mobile internet which cannot transfer more than a certain amount of data, or you are using a line which download and upload has fixed quota) then do not set your upload limit to 1kbps. Isn't it very selfish act? I use broadband local isp, they dont care how much I am uploading, so I upload 50-100% if there are very few seeders. If everyone uploads same amount of downloads, that torrent wont die.

Btw, I use utorrent 3.2.3 ... that's the last version of utorrent without any ads on it.

    Hope it helps.
