Default Amateur Tournaments ? Helping the BD dota community ?

Amatuer Tournaments has started everywhere recently and still now we already had 2 amateur tournaments
    1- XLU amateur tournament
    2-Blizzard had another amateur tournament

    and upcoming are
    -RT tournament for amateurs
and Blizzard has once more decided for another amateur tournament .

By seeing so much amateur tournamrents I think there is no room for the normal tourneys to take place as most of the teams are more interested in Playing Noob tourneys rather than the normal one , Is Amateur tournament the way out for BD dota community to really improve and to its success ?

Does this amateur tournament actually helps the noob teams come to the extreme level and compete ?

If we continue with amateur tournaments I bet there will be a very few normal tourneys, What legion 1st started a thread was to popularize the game not divide dota into 2 sections which most of people are doing right now .
everyone is coming forward to organize a tourney but a noob one .
neither are the winners of the noob tourneys participating in the normal ones, as the winners of the amateur tourneys thinks "we are noobs and shud continue to participate only in noob tourneys and so on,it is not necessary to compete in the professional level" .

I did not see a noob team come forward and participate in the recent CHR tourney .
All the players that participated were old dota competitors .
So, I think we the BD dota community should come forward together for the welfare of the BD dota scene .

I think I want to state clearly to the noob teams who dosent participate in normal tourneys is that there is no noob level or pro level in the International arena, there is only 1 competitive level and everyone participates in the same arena with the same rules . So its no use wasting your time staying in the noob era .
if you think you have the ability then you shud come forward mayb loose a tourney or 2 and if your dedication is one of the best . Hopefully even you can become champions one day .
every dog has his day .

Hope all the dota gamers of BD understands what I meant and what steps shud be taken to popularize the competitive level of dota like Legion posted earlier in 2008 .
This is like the revision version of that .
Share your views and lets hope we ll return to a normal competitive dota era.
    thnx

XLU-SP organized the first amateur tournament only keeping in mind to increase the level of DOTA in Bangladesh and to get more players playing DOTA.

We have done things that the gamers have not experienced before, our mission was to promote DOTA, not to make a profit out of it.

The winners of the XLU AMATEUR TOURNEY will no more be called as amateurs, they got medals, certificates and free entry to the next tourney. Why not do something in an organized manner and plan it for the welfare of the gaming community.

After organizing the Amateur tourney, we know find that the number of amateur tourneys is about 3 tourneys a month, comprising of 6 teams only, where we had 16, thats the difference.

If newbie DOTA players need to improve the have to play with the best to be the best, thats what i belive. I personally have improved because of the senior DOTA players, Viperman, Legion, Pyro.Dynamics, The.Reaper, HTH and other senior DOTA players who used to play in BASS.

Organizers who are hosting various amateur tourneys all over Bangladesh, please think about hosting a tourney for all, and keep in mind how to improve the gaming scenario of Bangladesh.

Theres a new rule imposed recently that i have heard of, its that 1 pro player gets to play with 4 noobs, which i think doesnt make sense.

By the way how do u classify between a pro and a noob??

How many pro players are there in BD??

Is SP the strongest team of BD, i dont think so after the last result of the tourney, and are all their players pro??
I dont think so because they were 4th place in the last CHR tourney, i can call them noobs, and i feel SP can participate in Amateur tourneys.

There are many many points that can be mentioned, we need solutions to these things, rather than making a fool of ourselves.

probably galib vai talked abt a tier system. tier 1 - tier 2 tournaments, and teams getting promoted or demoted based on performance in tier-specific tournaments. players might follow that system, and game cafe's will have to cooperate a bit more to make that happen.

Normal Level of Tournaments will fail to bring in players, it is a fact. I see no problems in amateur tournaments, let them play a lot of them, and get habituated to Competitive DotA. I guess the solution lies in hosting both side by side. We should not forget about professionals but if we just keep on holding pro tournaments then amateur teams seem to fail, hence break up reform-break-up reform and the cycle continues. And, I don't think there are a lot of teams that can consider themselves pro at this moment (look at the scene in Aldex & Gamo.) These newer players need amateur tournaments or we have to wait 2 years them to mature in DotA. Lol!

And, btw, I stand by to what I have said - there are not a whole lot professional teams right now. Tell you what, Get me 16-20 teams and you might just be looking at the Rising Apocalypse 2. Yup, the whole shizzle no sign-up fee and a dedicated tournament. I'll organize it myself.

    Steene / Lightstrike - Level 80 Rogue/Paladin - Bloodcraft Blizzclone US
Anestean - Level 80 Paladin - AlphaWoW EU
    Pyro.Dynam1cs - Garena - Main competitive account

Achha, I don't wanna name people, but, why are there so many "amateur" players and teams, who think they are so good, and say ¤¤¤¤ to people in GG and cafes, where as when it's tourni time they have no balls? Call players like Masterpiece, Sn4k3y n00bs and during tournis hide behind their pcs and still talk ¤¤¤¤ in GG?

Anyway, I have seen atleast players in the DotA scene to a small extent, and can assure everyone, there aren't more than 20 players who are that good to be considered godlike in the BD standard, SP, DtA, DtM, BD? Is that all? And who else? Coz those people fear these 4 teams, no one plays DotA? DtA and DtM don't even play tournis anymore, and BD changes teams every few days, and you poeple are SCARED? Get some balls.

The whole n00b and pro stuff is bullshit. The XLU amatuer tourni was completely exploited by those "pros" (GG players), and now they are gone. Play in a proper tourni, and learn ¤¤¤¤.

If I could, I would have given a 100 thanks to your post Farhad...

Well, we are not afraid to play any and all...although we might loise all as well. But no one can blame me for not trying.....

We may have to find a way to accomodate all the teams in a single touunament very soon.

can i give an idea? to make sure pro team and noob team alike can get some of the cake from the same tournament, introduce cup round and plate round. in first stage of the tourney, there can be several groups, each consisting 4 teams. after group matches, top 2 from each grp go to CUP Round and bottom 2 go to PLATE Round. in CUP Round (which will obviously include the pro teams then) they'll compete and CUP Winner will get bigger prizemoney. and in the plate round (which will obviously include the noob teams then) they'll also compete and PLATE Winner wil get smaller prizemoney.

Salman bhai, idea kharap keno boli.

IF any tourni has more than 8 teams, organizers ALWAYS make it more than 2 groups, but that's just it, team hoi naa more than 8. =\\.

That's the whole issue, every DotA tourni I've seen/heard about had 6-8 teams. =\\. Sad. And people say, DotA is BD's most played game competively.

In case of the XLU dota tournament
noobs are the people who never came out to play any tournaments, that is a complete 5 man noob team. Except for some very noob players who participate in tourney but are not to any good

    In case of Blizzard tournament
I have no idea how they classified noobs, Perhaps the people who can manage to play in Blizzard's awesome pcs are noobs.

    According to rT tournament
The teams that lost to the clan rT are noobs and are allowed to enter the tournament, and 1 team is a no way noob just because we are SP.

    According to me
Noobs are the people who take the wrong advantage of a noob tournament are truly noobs . Instead of hosting normal tourneys everyone who wants to host noob tournaments every now and then are really noobs.
Noob tournaments is a good idea but should be hosted twice or thrice per year with all the teams containing roosters that are unaware of the competitive level.

I hope BD sees a path out of this Darkened noob tournaments or BD will never be able to prove anything to the rest of the world about.........
    Bangladesh's Defense of the Ancients

NO OFFENSE to anyone but guys face it truth hurts!!!!
