listen mate....everything depends on your budget - but if you already aware of the price of these 2 cards then i say you must should go for Radeon HD4850 - this card is cool - but there are some initial informations you should know :

    1. Every card which is above the geforce 9+ or radeon 4800+ series requires a good power supply - so you better have a 450W or 500W(to be safe without any question) didicated power supply first - thermaltake is the ultimate and in fact only choice (forBD).

    2. Radeon cards are boss - but the nvidia series are game designer's standerds - so there can be slight anomolies with radeon cards (1 in a thousand)....to avoid it you can go for geforce.

    3. There is another great option for you - you can go for geforce 9800GTX - this card is so superb....with a reasonable price - Radeon 4850HD ekhono etar beat korte pare nai - jodio duitar dam pray ek. Radeon is the best when you accuire 4870HD.

Thanks for reading....for farther info....ask freely anything and everything....i will try my best to help.

go for HD4850, 9800GTX is much higher in price in BD as far as im aware, and the 4850 does in fact outperform the 9800GTX. if you want to spend more, get a HD 4870.

HD4850 should be around 15k, and i have no idea about the 4870 since im not in BD but others will surely help you out here, or simply go check out retailers.

and if you want to spend less, get a 9600GT, or even less, a 960GSO and the least you should get is a HD4650.

4850HD er catalist driver e bug ase - shomossha kore....but khub ekta na
    As i said - 4850 is a good choice
But kom dam e chorom performance - 9600GSO
eita boss ekta card - according to "tom's hardware" - this card is 6% better then 9600GT
    9600GSO 768MB Fatality gDDR2 er dam 8000TK
Can try this - But dedicated 400W PS is recommended....

for Mazhar - yah 4850HD beats 9800GT but not 9800GTX - there is a slight mismatch between these 2 cards....9800GTX jodi kichute bhalo hoy tahole 4850HD abar kichu khetre bhalo....like this.

and 4850HD price is 15000BDT(aprox - up to 500BDT more maybe...depends on brand and vendors).
and 9800GTX is 17500BDT - not that much.............if you are willing to do GAMING BEYOND REALITY....

If your Budget is less or equal to 15k buy Radeon HD 4850. No nvidida card can compare with this card with your budget. And if you want to spend more buy 4870. Don't mention about the Nvidia logo. I was a XFX Nvidia Geforce Fan. But Only Ati can give you performance with respect to your budget. I bought HD 4830 at 12000/- and it is faster than a 8800gt or 9800gt. 8800gt cost 18k( Not in stock now) and 9800gt cost 15k or more.
And if your Budget less or equal to 10k Just buy 9600 GSO DDR3 or 9600 GSO ddr2 fatality. 9600 GSO is a GREAT card for this rate of budget. The prize are the same for both 9600GSO DDR3 or 9600GSO DDR2 Fatality(less than 8k). But GSO DDR3 XXX is better than a normal GSO DDR2 Fatality. The GSO XXX series is not in UCC.

as to the 4850 vs 9800GTX fiasco, i assure u that the 4850 is an all around faster card, yes the 9800GTX is faster in some games and the 4850 in others, but overall the 4850 has the edge. factor in the extra shader horsepower needed for future games, current underutilization of current games of the 4850 core, extra gain in performance when overclocking, better antialiasing performance, along with a lower price and it becomes clear

a better match is the 9800GTX+ vs 4850, they're pretty much even

yah...go for a thermaltake psu - 400W - price 3250BDT and there is another option - "if you are willing to buy any core 2 quad processors or willing to buy any of 9800GTX or GTX 200 series or 4870HD (i mean a bit high end cards) then you should go for the dedicated 500W PSU of thermaltake - price is about 5500BDT

and hey - the 9600GSO card is a bit cheaper then others but there is one thing - this card is the moulding of the legendery 8800GS cards with a chipset upgradess and memory synchronization - the psu requirements is like the 4850HD card : 400W dedicated.

and also tell me about the PSU for 9600GSO

get the dual slot HD 4850 by sapphire......

runs wayyy more cooler than single sloted reference design.

    35-37 idle

    55-60 load

Edit: as 4 psu u can go for Delux 500 watt with Active PFC for 3600 taka... will serve u better in the long run.

How come did you think that i am posting things without knowing them to be sure?...funny....

AMD recommends the PSU to be 450W dedicated but this recommendation comes from there test system. That includes Phenom series processors which is damn hungry of a fluent supply of power! But if you are using a core2 duo level processor 400W dedicated is good enough.

And it is not my own assumption - it is the assumption checked and double checked by UBISoft game engineers and even by Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel himself. This things are also mentioned under the test condition parametres.

My 9600GSO recommends dedicated 500W PSU with non sli mode
but...the test configuration is Quad Extreme System....i am using my 9600GSO with a 450W dedicated PSU and i have not a single bit of problem...thanks.

Even my PCI (HD4830) recommends 450watt minimum. I am using 400Watt TT lightpower. I also overclocked my Card at a higher level. 400 watt equal to 350Watt enough for 55nm pci like 4830, 4850 or 9600gt series.

    @arch.racd

i wouldnt say that if u could refer to ur infos in da 1st place.....

Canl u provide links to those so dat i can enlighten myself.

btw Nvidia asks for 400 watt for 9600GSO NOT 500watt.

    @Cyber_Shot
1 thing every1 dosent seems to be getting is If u choose to run somthin always on its full load( roughly..lets say70-80%) .it will perform anyway but qs remains how far and safely in the long run.
