is it thermaltake 400 watt litepower edition PSU????
if yes then consider urself buying another PSU such as Delux 500 watt W Active PFC..im using it by myself.(with HD 4850)
I have tested this PSU >>>TT lite power 400 watt with digital multimeter and the reading wasnt satisfactory..11.72 on load..(tested system had dual core 2.8GHZ + x1600pro around 50 watt ) where HD 4850 is 110 watt so compare ur setup wid this...
now u know why im telling u not to use that PSU with hd 4850.
sell ur psu...add som get a decent psu atleast 450 watt or above ( i would recommand 500 watt to be safe)
cheers.
wel.... then u know my advice
Is it dualcore 2.8ghz or pentium d 2.8ghz ?
Ami ekjonke 90nm pentiun4 3.06ghz overclock kore diyesilam. P4 [email protected] +Sapphire pure crossfire|| + 512mb 1600pro+ 2gb ddr1+Dvdwr+Hdd kono problem sara space400watt psu diye valo vabe cholto.

bro go to the website of thermaltake. There u will see a section of power calculator. just fill up the box with the hardware u have then u will be able to know how much power do u need.
Link
http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/
With 4870 and ur cauurent configuration u need 340watt at 90% load in everything.

Thanks for the link to the power calculator, as it turns out, a 420W PSU is enough for a HD 4870
But psu like delux 420watt with [email protected] is not enough.
I would not recommend it; if you have noticed, the PSU calculator only gives the total wattage without any information about the juice needed on the +12V rails. While the 420W may run the 4870, it might lead to general system instabilities and lead towards shortening the lifespan of the components...
The 420W Thermaltake available in Bangladesh only has 25A on the 12V rails....not safe...
Without overclocking litepower400watt may able to run hd4870. Btw litepower 400watt is a 350watt psu with 400watt peak output
@ murad it was DUAL core 2.8 ghz +x1600 pro+1.5GB DDR2+SATA+DVD R.......
lite power (brand new..only 4 days old) scored 11.72 on load....with above setup while hooked up with multimeter.......
@Red Devil if u dun care bout running ur system with 11.6V u can go ahead with lite power TT...up to u...nd it will run
anyway....but on the edge.
where did u find this info??????
can u pm me the tuning of this PC?

1st of all i dun trust ThermalTake with their lower end PSUs....
caz.... c 4 urself....
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/332/9
u said >>>> " litepower 400watt is a 350watt psu with 400watt peak output"
that was pure power 420 watt(actually 355w) in the review nd u r taking side on lite power 400watt and u r
claiming it can provide 350 watt!!!!....
well.. in ur dreams ..may b
pure power 420 watt jeikhane 355 watt max dite pare oi jaigai litepower 400 watt 1a psu 350 watt dite parbe..... do u really believe it....!!!!!
So, just becaz of brand name u dun have to trust it with ur eyes closed.

its not just thermaltake, its basically almost every PSU manufacturer who overrates their wattages (average, mind u)
what they simply do, is show an output with lower operating temperatures(and ambient temperatures too). hence at higher temperatures, rated wattage = fail
but keep in mind that even if the PSU can output the rated wattage, it will be peak power of the PSU. average power will usually be lower at the lower end PSU's. hence, prolonged use of the PSU above its average output will degrade it faster than it should. and some PSU's will simply fail to even output their rated output even at its maximum output capacity
So technically, the PSU's should be able to output the rated wattage, but cannot always sustain that load over a great period of time. This only applies to lower end PSU's though
