Thread: Should I buy consoles from Bangladesh?

Default Should I buy consoles from Bangladesh?

Hello, I'd like to buy a PS4 since it has many exclusives I'm interested in. One of my relatives will go to Japan in a few months so I'm wondering if it'd be cheaper to buy from there. There's also the warranty issue. Will I get warranty for PS4 if I buy it from bd? I heard that shimanto square has cheap prices but I don't know how reliable they are.

I'd also like to buy a gamepad for PC. AFAIK the Xbox controller works out of the box in Windows so I'd like to buy that if possible. There are also cheap Logitech gamepads but I don't know how good they are.

There's nothing wrong with buying consoles here as long as some shopowners don't rip you off by selling a Chinese console instead which by chance is rare. But it's better if you purchase it from Japan and format everything that's in the PS4 because the firmware changes how you use it. I know because instead of pressing X for go, I use Circle instead which is infuriating. Another reason is because the consoles here are sold with shitty controllers and HDMI cables. If you want to know about warranty, well you do get it from Sony. It's only matter of shipping the console to them for validation.

if you want to buy console from bangladesh specially ps4 i would suggest you to buy directly from rangs as they are the one who is the original distributors of sony product in bangladesh , buying from japan is not a bad idea but with tax and everything i guess the cost would be same but if there is no tax on bringing console then i think buying from japan actually sounds better than buying form bangladesh

Do shopkeepers here deliberately pair consoles with shitty controllers and HDMI cables or does this root to the main supplier?

Hmm, I think certain Japanese stores give you tax refunds so it should be cheaper.

Bit of both, but mostly on the shopkeepers side. Especially from someone like Shamim bhai of New Plug N Play in Shimanto Square. That guy has a notorious reputation for ripping people off in horrible ways. He's way sleazy and pathetic, would suggest anyone to avoid him. I made the mistake of buying from him so speaking from previous experiences.

That's mostly right. Yeah finding a model made in Japan is somewhat rare.
