Default Reluctance of buyers to come to the house of the seller to pickup items

So this happened to me twice so far. Both sale posts were posted on Facebook. First it was for a domestic flight ticket that I wanted to sell. I live in Niketon, and the guy kept telling me to come to Tejgaon Nabisco with the ticket. I was like ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ no and ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ you (well, not literally)

And just today, I was gonna sell this CPU cooler to a guy who also lives in Niketon. He comes downstairs of my apartment building, calls me and says bhai niche namen, ami apnar bashar niche aschi. I simply tell him to tell the guard my name and come upstairs. Guy says nahh cycle niye aschi. So I say to ki? cycle garage e rakhen! Then he finally says- ami ashole apnar bashay ashte interested naa. So again I was like ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ that and ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ you (well again, not literally)

So then, here lies my question. Why do so many people downright refuse to come to the seller's location/house to get the item? Well I do get the fact that the 1st guy was just going to rob the ¤¤¤¤ out of me, but still

Security issue, it's in the interest of both parties to conduct the transaction in a public place.

Well I'm gonna have to say that it totally depends on the person. I even came across a seller who was even willing to come to my house to drop the item off as he couldn't be at home - but I ended up going over to his place the next day to pick it up anyways. And I also had buyers come to my house before without any harm or issue from either side. And going to a public place is not always feasible if you're selling like whole PC systems, case or monitor/TV

You just answered your own question.
    Loved by few,
    Hated by many

you should've come down for the 2nd buyer. I wouldn't leave my bike if I was in his place either. But I do agree on the 1st instance. He was probably a fraud.
