Default Ridiculous "Copy" problem

recently i bought a bigger hdd for my media storage. Now I am facing a strange problem of copying movies from old drive to this new drive. i cant copy some of the movie files from the drive. it says file access denied and i need administrative privilege to copy these files. wtf is this? then i thought ok i will go to the files properties and set everyone can read/write/ access the files. strangely there is no owner of these files and administrative privilege doesnt work. what sorcery is this? couldnt find any good solution for this on internet. any help would be appreciated.

add a 'Take Ownership' option to the right-click context menu.

To add a "Take Ownership" option to the right-click menu, do the following:

1. Open Notepad.
2. Copy and paste the following registry code into the text file:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas]@="Take Ownership""NoWorkingDirectory"=""[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas\command]@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F""IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F"[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas]@="Take Ownership""NoWorkingDirectory"=""[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas\command]@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t""IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t"
3. Click File.
4. Click Save As.
5. Under "Save as type," select All Files, and name your file anything you want with the .reg extension.
6. Click Save.
7. Double-click your new .reg file to merge into the registry.
8. Click Yes.
9. Click OK.

Once you completed the steps, you can simply right-click any file or folder, and you should now see a new "Take Ownership" item on the menu. Then simply, right-click the file or folder, right-click it and select Take Ownership

thanks a lot @minitt & @Iskander . i will give it a try. but i think that something happened with the codec used in those video files. either win 10 is refusing to acknowledge those files or some malware corrupted them. i cant play those movies now. but i am pretty sure that i played them all ok when they were in the streaming pc.
