    1) 1080p has more details than 720p. That equals to more clarity.
    2) Bluray has 1080p resolution so you can enjoy your movie in full details in a 1080p TV/Monitor.
    3) 1080p is generally highest resolution display you can buy without paying a lot. (if you dont count those rare 27")

These is the main advantages of 1080p. This is why most people buy 1080p display. Benchmarks also use this resolution as it is more common.

If you have to ask this, you probably have no need for it. And ehh, they're mostly used for work, not gaming. Not unless you're on a Eyefinity setup anyway.

1920x1080 provides you better resolution than 1366x768.
720p is HD, and 1080p is Full HD.
720p can't give you HD Experience while Gaming, but 1080p can.
18.5'' Monitor is not capable to give the Best Performance of 1080p. Only 20''/21.5'/22'' or Higher Monitors can.

    anserwing question 2

for multi monitors, your field of view expands and you get to see more of the game. Trust me, once you have played on 3 monitors or more you will never go back to playing on a single screen

when i played fifa 13 on one 1080p monitor, i could only see where the action was. With 3 1080p monitors, i get to see the whole damn pitch, from one post to another. It is absolutely crazy!

tomb raider was a fantastic experience too

etao shotti je 1080p te bhalo gpu lage, but if you are happy with 720p then there is nothing wrong with that!

From my experience, I shifted from 1920x1080p to 1600x900p. Sacrificing only 1.5" resulted me in saving 14k extra money spending after the gpu.
