It's actually called IPS monitors, which normally has better viewing angle and some say better colors. ASUS ML series models are IPS monitors which can be found in BD. I am not sure which models available though.

Thanks for the correction . Is Asus ML238H a IPS monitor? The specification does not tell anything about it. http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/ML238H/#specifications

ML238H is not IPS monitor. ML239H is IPS but I don't know if they are available at the market.

Today went to IDB and found two IPS monitors :

    ViewSonic VX2270Smh-LED - 15500tk http://www.viewsonic.com/us/monitors/vx2270smh-led.html
    AOC i2251Fwe - 17500tk http://www.flipkart.com/aoc-21-5-inc...md9n85ymhjxdch

I liked the AOC one. But there are two problems. One: it does not has a HDMI port, two : It's Response Time is 14ms.
On the other hand, the viewsonic has HDMI with response time 7ms but it's picture quality was not that vivid while comparing with the AOC.

Please guys help me to choose between two of these. Do i really need a HDMI and a faster response time over picture quality?

HDMI and DVI are digital and have same quality picture. The AOC link you gave has DVI input. Most graphics card nowadays have both DVI and HDMI output. My gtx 560 Ti have both. One DVI to HDMI converter cable came with my Asus monitor. I am just using that. Picture quality is good so I am not bothered. So for now you should be ok with DVI output only.
